Hope was but a bitter glimpse of the past. Rock bottom had come, poverty was at an all-time high, hundreds died daily. However, people refused to see it. They pretended to be blind to the problems that lied before them.
Enter Isaias Blackford - a brilliant 22 year old University student. He had it all - money, brains, and looks - he was, indeed, perfect. This, however, was just a giant camouflage. On the inside, Isaias was drowning in darkness as he lived day to day, moving with the flow.
This all changes when he meets a mysterious and secretive pink haired woman who promises him 'the power of the king'. With this newfound power, changes did, in fact, come. Isaias was finally able to fulfill his dreams, but as everyone knows, nothing good comes easy.
Enter Eris McClendon - a young, but hard-nosed and unsentimental police chief - made possible by her royal connections. She is fair to all, she was truly a warrior for justice and judge as she saw fit. This young woman was Isaias' girlfriend - and the obstacle the stood in the way of him achieving his dream.
What happens when Isaias learns that there are six others like him, who have the same powers? What happens when these seven young adults meet? Will chaos ensue, or will they work together? What happens when two pasts collide, and trust becomes just another word?
Will Isaias achieve the dream he longs for, or will it all come crumbling down? Will Isaias ever learn the mysteries behind his shrouded past - or will he die before he even gets the chance?
Author's Note:
This is partially a fanfiction of Code Geass, but with none of the same characters (or maybe there is, you'll just have to read to find out). This is also partially my own original story. That said, I had the hardest time picking a genre for this, haha.
Also, the amazing cover was made by TheWorldWasQuiet!
The first chapter should be up in the next day or two.
