"Desire is the kind of thing that eats you
and leaves you starving."- Nayyirah Waheed.
Drake Valentine - high school dropout, jobless, and the only two things he had going for him were his looks and his seemingly honey-covered tongue. He was, in every sense, a deadbeat - but a very rich deadbeat. He had no need for a job and all of the women he could ever need. He hadn't built some convenient invention, nor had he programmed some famous social media website. Nothing, he had done absolutely nothing to earn the money he had.
If he hadn't earned it, then how did he have it? Inheritance, possibly? No. Drake Valentine had single-handedly made himself a multimillionaire by scamming the multinational retail empire, Ayers. It was a typical scam job, one along the lines of what you could find in the daily newspaper; such as a customer slipping on a liquid that they had spilt themselves. It was a boldfaced scam, yet it had worked out for him - precisely because he had gotten injured.
Ayers CEO, Allen Milcharth, had personally visited Drake in the hospital that very same day in his private jet. This visit, however, wasn't for business nor was it for a half-hearted apology. This visit was to offer Drake hush-money - money for him to keep his lips zipped and to keep the case out of court. Of course, Drake had gracefully accepted the millions of dollars to keep quiet about the incident that had caused him to break his right leg, but instead of staying quiet he called his lawyer and made plans to sue the very company that had already paid him for his silence.
Drake had won the case, and not a thing could be done by Ayers, nor Allen. That hush-money had been handed over without documentation or any kind of legality, for that matter. So, naturally, Ayers had been unable to bring that into court, and therefore had to pay the same man once again for the very same thing. He had simply, for all intensive purposes, accidentally injured himself whilst proceeding with the scam he had planned himself.
Needless to say, he had been banned from Ayers all around the word along with many other unrelated companies who wanted to avoid the same thing. Drake, however, had figured that the good had far outweighed the bad with life-long amount of money he had earned from the scam. With online shopping, it hadn't mattered if he was unable to enter a couple of retail stores. Thus came forth a life of luxury - cars, women, and drugs. They were all at his disposal with the power of money.
Women, he had all kinds, of all ages and all types that were into and willing to do anything for the money he offered. Unbeknownst to himself, Drake had slowly but surely turned himself into a monster. He had craved sex, but the deeper he went into it, the more depraved he had become. Soon, regular intercourse with regular women hadn't been enough for him, it had bored him. He needed more - something darker, something more entertaining. This is where Drake found himself, inside the darkness of the sexual world.
He found himself not only enjoying, but even sometimes participating in the cruel, vile acts. BDSM, rape, even snuff films had been but a few of the many dark acts that he had willingly participated in. However, Drake had caught himself from falling, so to speak. He had realized that what he had been doing was just plain evil, and that he needed to stop before fell so deep that he wouldn't have been able to come back. He had pulled away and completely left that world behind him - or at least he had hoped to.

Drake turned around in his computer chair to be greeted by the pleasant sight that was his half-naked girlfriend, Tori, sleeping off her high. In just one of his old t-shirts, her bare necessities were barely covered. He wanted so badly to just jump on top of and completely have his way with her, but he knew that part of his life was behind him, and that was where it was going to stay. He had started over with a girl he'd known since middle school and recently met up with after she had decided to give him a call out of the blue.
