Chapter 2

AUSTIN'S P.O.V

Wow today I met a gorgeous girl .She had long brown hair and stunning green eyes.My breathe caught in my throat when she smiled at me.She had tattoos on both her arms.I noticed she was wearing a Slipknot top.Great hot and she had a good taste in music.

Just when I was chatting with her I got a text from Alan.He said it was an emergency.I asked her for her number before rushing away.

I would definitely call her.I couldn't wait to tell Alan about her.

I drove to Alan's house in a rush.I hoped everything was all right.I ran in the door to find Alan stretched out on the couch drinking beer.

"What  is the emergency "I asked .

He looked up.

"Oh no emergency .I was just bored and wanted to talk to you man"

"What the hell man I was at the beach talking to a really cool girl"I said punching him in the arm.

"Oh really what's her name "he asked.

"I wouldn't know cause you interrupted me.I got her number though"

"That's great man.You're finally back out there after everything"he said clapping me on the back.I new what he was on about my ex wife.

"Ya I'll call her later".

HOLLY'S P.O.V

I turned off my phone.There was no way I was going to answer Austins call.

I left the beach soon after.I didn't even go into the water.On my way home I stopped off at the mall.I bought some food and then went to look at some clothes shops.Ben is taking me on a date on Friday.To be honest I wasn't very excited.Ben was great and all but I wouldn't say I love him.

I saw the most gorgeous dress in one of the windows.I entered and had a look around.All the dresses were lovely.I ended up picking a black  strapless dress that ended just before my knees.

*THE NEXT DAY*

I couldn't stop thinking about Austin.All the good times we had together,but I was still angry at him.I arrived at work at two.It wasn't very busy.I had four appointments.Work was over at five o clock.

The day dragged on slowly.I waited for my last customer to come.Then I would be finished.I heard the door open and I came out of the staff room.

My mouth dropped when I saw none other than Austin Carlile.He looked up so I walked quickly back into the staff room.I walked over to Brendan.

"Er Brendan I'm not feeling well.I don't think I'd be able to do the next customer"I said.

He checked his watch.

"It's 4:30 .Just half an hour.Its only a small tattoo please can you hang on till then"

"Ya sure"

I felt butterflies in my stomach.I new Austin would ask for me name.I can't just cower away.He had told me to never contact him so I don't have to talk to him.Ill just give him the cold shoulder.

I kept my head down as I walked out of the staff room.

I cleared my throat."next".

Austin approached me and smiled which I did not return.

"So what tattoo do you want"I asked bluntly.

He frowned

"No hello"

"Don't make me ask again".

" Hey look at me why are you ignoring me"he asked.

I kept my head down.It killed me to do this to him but he was the one that broke my heart .

"I'm not"I mumbled.

I looked at the ground.I felt a hand under my chin.He tilted it up till I was eye level with him.He studied me.

" You're that girl from the beach" he said making my heart beat fast.

"Ya that's me "I mumbled feebly.

"What's your name?"he asked.

Fuck!Make a name up my mind screamed.

"Look did you came here to interview me or to get a tattoo "I snapped instantly regretting it.He didn't say anything more.He wanted a tattoo on his neck.It was really awkward because I had to go right up to his face.The top of my head kept brushing off his chin and I was constantly apologising.After fifteen minutes it was done.I cleared up my stuff while he went to the counter to wait to pay.

There was no one at the till so I went up.He handed me the money.

"Oi Holly you can head home now"Brendan said coming up beside me at the till.

Austin had a frown on his face.

"So That's your name.I had a friend called Holly"he said.

My heart started to beat and my throat went dry.

"What's your second name?"

"It doesn't matter"

"Its O Connor"Brendan said speaking up.

Austin was speechless .

"I've got to go"I said going into the back room.I grabbed my stuff .When I came back Austin wasn't in sight.I excited the shop and turned the corner.Austin was there leaning against the wall.

He saw me so I rushed across the other side of the road.

"Holly"he called "wait".

He was fast so there was no point in running.I turned around.I was suddenly engulfed in a large hug.It felt like all my stress had gone away in that moment.I suddenly pulled back .

"Holly I haven't seen you in ages.Wow you've changed.What happened to your glasses and short hair?"

I rolled my eyes."things change Austin .I see you have too "I commented"but still the same rude ass".

I saw him flinch at what I had said.

"I'm really sorry about what I said.I was angry.My best friend was moving away"

"What did you expect me to do.Refuse to go to England because you didn't want me to go.You know I didn't want to go as much as you didn't want me to leave.Anyways you still had Rebecca.I heard to hooked up after I left".

"We went out for a bit but she cheated on me "he said"Anyway I had feelings for someone else but I never got the chance to tell them".

Oh great now he was going to tell me he was in love with another person.

I had heard enough.I didn't want to here who he had feelings for.I turned to leave.

"Where are you going "he asked falling into step beside me.

"Home "

"So how's your family"he asked.

I flinched."dad passed away soon after we left here "I said quietly.

I started to get teary eyed.I dried my eyes quickly,there was no way I was going to cry in front of him.

He grabbed my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

"I'm sorry.I know how you feel"he said.

I looked up at him,remembering when his mum had passed away.That had been a hard time for him.

We were both quite for a while.

"You know I still don't forgive you"I said.

He chuckled.

"What's so funny"I asked.

"Even though you have changed on the outside your still exactly like the old Holly"he said.

I looked at the ground."look Austin I know I gave you my number but please don't call me.What we were before ,friends it can't happen again.Things have changed we both went our separate ways"I said.

"Holly please give me another chance I just want to be friends I - "

"No Austin"I said interrupting him"I'm not the old Holly please just leave".

He looked me pleadingly one more time in the eye before turning and walking away.
