My alarm went off that morning. I jumped out of bed at an alarming speed and headed for the bathroom. I couldn't believe it. The day was finally here. Well, showering has never been my cup of tea so I quickly took a shower and wrapped myself with my warm fluffy towel. I had already picked out my outfit the previous night so that I could not disarrange my clothes which were already packed in my pink suitcase.
Skinny jeans and a pink tank top were definitely the perfect outfit for a hot summer weather. "Kristen,if you don't get you lazy butt downstairs right now you are going to be late", shouted my mom."I'll be down in a sec"I shouted back and hurriedly put on my mascara. Impressed and satisfied by my look,I descended downstairs to the sweet aroma of Bacon and toast.
"Morning mum," I greeted. " Morning Kristy, you excited? She asked,a wide grin on her face. "I can't believe your even asking me that. Is that even supposed to be a question or an answer. "I answered back,a smile creeping up on my face. I recalled to some weeks ago when mum came home from work with the news that she had secured a place for me at camp awesome. I was overjoyed. For 4 years I had tried to get into that particular camp but was unable to. Finally here I was. "I love you mom" I said hugging her."I love you more Kristy "she said hugging me back."Not possible mom,I said."Yes possible she told me and hugged me even more tighter.
I put my suitcase at the back of the car and waved my mum goodbye. I had two weeks,two weeks of fun,laughter and music. Basically music was my life so I couldn't wait to showcase my singing skills. That particular revelation was enough to put a smile to my face. As I pulled out of my driveway,I knew that this was going to be the best two weeks of my life.
