"Jack. Jack? Jaaack!" I felt someone shake me lightly, snapping me out of my daydreams.

"W-what?" I muttered, full of confusion. I turned and saw my friend Henry, his mouth turned up in an amused smile.

"Jack, where are you pal? You're quite distracted. What're you thinking about?"

"Nothin'. I was...I was thinking about something impossible," I answered.

"Don't tell me you're thinking about that girl again. Listen Jack, you've gotta forget about her," Henry said. I stared at him with furrowed brows.

"What do you mean forget about her?" I said, raising my voice.

"I just think y-"

"Forget about the one person I've loved with all my heart and soul?"

"Jack I-"

"Forget about the one person who has made me feel complete and now that she's gone my world feels empty?"

"Look, pal-"

"Forget about Rose?" I whispered. "I can't... I won't..."

Henry looked at me with wide eyes.

"Jack, look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you in any way. I just think it's time for you to move on. It's been five years since everything happened. It's time to move on pal."

As much as I pushed away Henry's words, I knew he was right. I couldn't spend my life lamenting what could have been. The last night I saw her, when I was sure I was going to die, I told her to live her life to the fullest. I told her to enjoy every second of it, and I'm sure she would've wanted me to do the same.

"You're right Henry," I murmured. "You're right." Henry patted my back as I stared at the ground.

"I'll tell you what Jack," he began, "we're going to go see a play today that I'm sure you'll like."

"I don't feel in the mood to go see-"

"Eh," Henry interrupted, "I don't want to hear it. We're going whether you like it or not." He stood up and extended his hand out to me. I took it hesitantly and he lifted me up to my feet.

"What play are we going to watch?" I mumbled.

"Romeo and Juliet!" Henry exclaimed enthusiastically. "The classic story of two star crossed lovers!"

"Henry, I really don't think that a romantic play is the best given the way I'm feeling right now."

"C'mon Jack," Henry said, "it'll be fun."

I exhaled loudly and said, "Fine Henry, I'll go."
