Chapter 4: Simpler Times

Alex's pov

"uuuggghhhh my head." I said out loud to myself not knowing there was someone right beside me.I looked over to see my surrounding,I hear water rushing by somewhere,I also hear something moving beside me.I look over to see Alice looking at something but I don't know what it is."umm *cough*hey you ok ."I say looking at her.She looks over at me with tears sparkling in her eyes an said" yea I'm fine I just-"she stops to blink most of them away but wipes the rest of the tears from her face"-need to find Melody and.....then......and then we'll........" she trailed off as more tears came down.She turned away from me without saying another word.I tried to get up but couldn't ,so I lifted up my pants leg and looked to see what happened to my leg.'I won't be able to shift for awhile at least until there is another full moon.'there was a gash on my leg from the fight we had with Will.I wonder what happened to Melody....'hope she's ok.'

a few year's earlier 

Alex's pov

"woooohoooo!!!!!!!!Yeeeaaaah!!!" I howled in my wolf from at the sky with Melody running almost in front of me in her human from(since she hasn't changed yet duh).We just pranked my cousins,Jack and James,we just got done with their 'surprise'.Me and Melody has been planing this for week and her sister almost found out about it if we didn't hide the silly string.We t-peed and silly stringed their house cause they just came back from a trip from America and after they are done being mad at us.

"Alex!!!!!"Jack said."Melody!!!!Get back here and clean this up!!!!"James ordered.Melody then commented"Ha like you can order an alpha around don't make me laugh."She wouldn't be laughing if she wasn't running faster than me.And before we knew it they were on our tails.Melody almost fell if I didn't scoop her up on my back so I could run faster.I tried to cut them off in the deeper part of the woods but they could still pick up our scent.....hmm decisions,decisions what to do.....

As if a light bulb went on inside my head I picked up the pace to lose them faster and instead of going to Melody's house or my house I ran to this abandoned house that we only found a few months ago .I told Melody what I'm doing  and she said"do you*pant*think we will get*pant*there before they know where we are*pant*going."I didn't even think of that.I didn't even notice that I ran into someone until I fell.Melody was throne off of me and tackled and pinned to a nearby tree.

'crap,crap,crap!' I thought frantically as I was tied down to see what will happen to my best friend.'That is not my cousins!'I growled.It was Chris and his friends,they likes to harass everyone and Melody was one of Chris's favorite to beat up,but he won't even get a chance to I'll rip him apart before he does anything to Melody again.I growled at him but he didn't even flinch at it.He walked up to a half-conscious Melody and lifted her chin an said"So how is my little Freak today." Melody looked away from even though it was pointless cause it made him angrier than he already was.That's when Chris took her glasses and through them in some direction and slapped her in the face causing the skin around her eye to start to blacken and bruise. 

That when I snapped at him."STOP!"I say in a threatening growl.One of Chris's friends was in his wolf from and pinned me back down after I tried to get up.He almost leaped off me when they heard a long,loud howl from nowhere.Then James and Jack attacked Chris's friends and then Alice stood behind Chris said in an Alpha tone,"leave." and Chris ran to catch up with his friends who had already left.Alice walked up to Melody and gave her the glasses Chris had thrown away.After Melody put her glasses on she got up slowly and hugged Alice and thanked her for saving her and me.

I remember that day so well,that's the day I found my mate even though she's a girl or an alpha I don't care.but the real problem is I don't think she even likes me....
