"You silly boy! Bring that back this instant!" Bethany yelled running after me. "You'll have to catch me if you want this back!" I sprinted away from my best friend laughing as I stuffed her phone in my back pocket.
I turned as I ran seeing her gaining fast. I laughed happily as I skidded to a stop. With a small squeal and a thud, Bethany rammed straight into my back.
"Jin!"
I turned to see Bethany laying in the snow. I immediately burst out laughing even harder than before, clutching at my sides attempting to keep in my laughter. Through squinted eyes, I could see Bethany sitting upright on the snow covered ground with a small pout adorning her lips.
My laughter turned to light chuckles as a smile crept onto my face.
Her caramel eyes stared back at me mesmerizing me in their beauty. Those innocent, deceiving eyes could find a straight path into my very heart and soul taking my love all for herself. Those same eyes have crumbled every wall I ever placed on my heart, turning them to ash.
I outstretched my hand for her to take. I lifted her off the ground letting her brush off the lingering snow that stuck to her small frame. I merely stood staring at her as she did this watching every move she made taking in every detail, burning her image into my mind. A comforting sensation on my cheek snapped me from my own little world.
I stared down into her worry filled eyes. A smile graced my lips. Even in the bitter, bone-chilling winter, her small hands held so much warmth. I could quickly lose myself with her small touch.
I wrapped my arms around her, bringing her small body closer towards me attempting to feel more of her comforting touch. Her arms warped themselves around my waist pulling us closer to each other if any. My mind slowly felt as if it were falling into a soothing slumber.
I stood surrounded by her warmth not noticing her hands as they moved lower down my waist. I gave a sharp gasp as she quickly pulled away from our embrace. My face erupted in a deep pink blush as I stared at her as she smirked back at me.
"I caught you."
She smiled and stuffed her phone back in her pocket before walking towards a small grove of secluded trees. I shook my head trying to clear the jumbled thoughts from my mind. I quickly ran after her taking her by surprise as I spun her in my arms.
"Well then, I think we caught each other," I whispered ever so softly in the ear making a light pink dust paint her cheeks.
I pulled away slightly so I could look her in the eyes as I took a deep breath gathering the last of my courage.
"I love you Bethany with all my heart," I squeezed her tightly in my arms as she wrapped hers around my waist," I love you so much. I've loved you since the first moment Tae and Kookie introduced me to you."
I felt her relax against my body as I spoke. She gently laid her head on my chest allowing my hands to make their way to her hair gently caressing it, pulling it behind her ear. I took a deep breath and continued.
"I'm so happy to have met you and..."
I felt hot tears prick my eyes. I turned away from her hiding my face but warm hands brought my face back towards her. A soft smile graced her face along with a bright red blush. "Jinnie...don't cry, I'm here." Her soft words halted my tears for a moment before returning even stronger. I stood sobbing trying to gather my words and courage.
I promised them I would tell her. I promised him before he... I can... I will. He is with me, giving me the courage. What type of friend would I be if I didn't keep my promise? I pulled away from our embrace taking the chance to wipe away my lingering tears.
