Running, Running, and More Running

Kurapika's P.O.V.

  Y/N said that there was poison in the juice. Actually she said it quite loud, I think just about everybody heard. The first phase had just begun. I believe that it's just a running course but you never know. I was running alongside Y/N and Leorio. I had said to Y/N, "You know you look a lot better with your bandana off. We can see your face then." She took her bandana off showing her face, I really did think that she was beautiful. "Better?" she asked, looking to me for approval. "Y-yeah." I nodded in agreement, a tint of pink brushing my cheeks.

Your P.O.V.

  Kurapika said that I should take my bandana off more often because it showed a larger portion of my face. So I took it off not realizing that I was blushing. "Better?" I asked, looking at him. He responded, "Y-yeah." Leorio noticed my blush and he said in a hushed tone, "Someone got a crush?" He nudged my arm a bit. "Hey Kurapika, you see Y/N here seems to have a cr-" he didn't get to finish before I elbowed him so hard, I swear his eyes popped out of his head. "What was that, Leorio?" Kurapika turned his head towards him with questioning eyes. I gave Leorio a death glare. "O-oh n-nothing." he blurted out with fear in his eyes. "Sorry, didn't mean to hit you that hard." you said, beaming with a smile.

Gon's P.O.V.

  I was running then a kid introduced himself to me, "I'm Killua. How old are you?" I said "I'm Gon and I'm 12." " I'm 12 too" Killua added. He was riding on a skateboard. "Well then I guess I'll run beside you for now." He said jumping off his skateboard doing some kind of neat trick. I had noticed that Leorio was falling behind a bit. We just looked at him and he shouted, "I'm not giving up now!" He looked like he was about to die. I used my fishing rod to grab his briefcase. Killua said "You've gotta let me try that sometime" "Only if you let me try your skateboard." I retaliated. "Deal!" He enthusiastically responded.

Your P.O.V.

  You see Leorio running with his shirt off, only wearing his tie around his neck. "I didn't know wearing nothing but a tie was in fashion," you said laughing at your own joke. "If I don't care how stupid I look I can focus on running and reaching the finish line." he said to you and Kurapika. "I suppose you have a point Leorio." Kurapika said. My eyes widened at the thought of Kurapika taking his shirt off, but not enough for either of them to notice 'Thank goodness' you thought to yourself, but he only had what looked like a white track suit on underneath his tabard. You breathed out in relief. Would he not have been wearing that, I would have blushed so hard I think that my head might have exploded. We were all running and Gon and a silver-haired kid ran up to us. Gon said "This is Killua. Killua this is Y/N, Kurapika, and Leorio." We all said our greetings to Killua and he said hey back.

  We had suddenly hit a staircase which was really steep. Gon and Killua had ran ahead. I overheard them say whoever reached the top first and won had to pay for the other's dinner. I was still running with Kurapika and Leorio. "Do you think that we should try and catch up with Gon and Killua?" I asked them both. "If I could Y/N, I would, but I'm tired and really need to catch my breath but I can't stop now." Leorio said, gasping for air between each word. "What? Is the old man tired?" I joked playfully. "Hey, I'm a teenager just like you guys." Leorio said to Kurapika and I. "WHAT!!!!"  Kurapika and I shouted in unison. "You've at least got to be in your 20's. No less." I retorted, surprised by what Leorio said. "Nope, still a teenager." Leorio confirmed. "Oh, that's right. I never told you guys how old I am. I'm 16 by the way." I said with a smile on my face. Kurapika said. "Oh, I'm 17. I guess we're around the same age." he smiled and that made my heart skip a beat. I always did love it when he smiled. "And I'm guessing you are like 39 Leorio." I said laughing. Leorio yelled "I'm a teenager!!" I just laughed.

  We were almost there. Close enough to see the top of the staircase. I had slipped and fell backwards. I thought I was gonna fall, but  someone caught me. It was Kurapika, he had caught me bridal style and said, looking down at me, "If you're tired, I can carry you the rest of the way." he offered and smiled at me. As if you weren't blushing enough, that really got you. You just responded, "Y-yeah t-thanks Kurapika. "It's no big deal." he said nonchalant. You rested your head on his chest as you lied there in his muscular arms. You just felt safe.

A/N- I'm so sorry for this being short but I wanted to split the first phase into two parts and if I had put them together it would be beyond long for what I want to put. I'm going to try to upload tomorrow but I'm not positive if I can. Also thanks to all the people who take the time out of their day to read this, just know it means a lot to me. Thanks ;)
