Nani:

"Les! Wakey Wakey!" I cooed in her ear and she hid underneath her covers. "You can't avoid school forever!"

I grabbed the ends of her blanket and tugged the blanket from her grip. "Shawn's going to meet us downstairs, and I made pancakes!"

At the sound of "I made pancakes!" Les sat up on her bed and then dashed out of her room. Works everytime.

"What makes you think Riley is going to forgive Farkle so easily?" I asked Les once we began to walk to the subway.

"She loves him, and hey, maybe it wasn't what we thought. Think about it guys, Farkle is good. He will never intend on hurting Riley like that."

Shawn pursed his lips for a moment. "I agree."

"What?" I scoffed. "You guys are really missing the point here. Farkle could be cheating! Riley saw it--for goodness's sake Shawn, we saw it!"

"I know." He turned to look at me. "But everyone is innocent until proven guilty."

"But he was proven guilty!"

"Not yet. We just saw him with Smackle but he didn't do anything to prove he is cheating. Nani, Farkle wouldn't so that to Riley."

"Fine. But if he did, I'll make sure to kick his heiny."

.......

Once we stepped inside the building, I grabbed Shawn's hand and we all made our way to Riley's locker, which was right next to mine. Maya was already there telling something inaudible to Riley. Riley kept taking books upon books out of her locker and disregarded everything Maya was saying.

"Hey," I butted in awkwardly.

"Nani," Riley said in a happy yet sad tone. "I missed you."

"We saw eachother on FaceTime last night." I giggled.

"Oh, so now I know why you didn't pick up MY call." Shawn sneered.

"I still love you!" I snuggled into his arms and he chuckled. I heard cooes and awes coming from the girls and immediately blushed.

"What's going on?"

I let go of Shawn and turned around with the rest of the group. Farkle had just came. You could feel the tension in the air rise.

"I think I'm going to go, Riles." Maya mumbled and turned around and Les left after her.

"Shawn," I faced him. "We should go too."

Shawn nodded while looking directly at Farkle with a clenched jaw. After all, Riley has always been like his little sister.

......

Riley:

"Hey," Farkle began just as I pretended to search for something I couldn't seem to find in my locker.

"I called you yesterday," he said after a while. "I missed you."

Hearing those words made my body shift uncomfortably. He probably said that to Smackle too. My eyes tested up and I closed my locker shut.

"Riles, what's wrong?" He looked concerned. "Are you ok? Is there something we need to talk about?"

"Yeah,Farkle - there's a lot to talk about." I turned and made my way over to the little bench in front of my father's class. I could hear Maya and my dad arguing over something.

"What's wrong?" He placed his hand over mine, and I quickly jerked my hand back.

He looked down at his hand and looked back up at me shocked. He opened his mouth to say something and then just pursed his lips.

"Farkle we've been...distant lately." I could feel the tears rolling down my eyes. "I don't like it."

"Riles, I know we've been kinda awkward since Maya made that remark about you stil having feelings for you know."

"Yeah, but I told you it's not true," I explained. "Farkle, from the moment we started to date I stopped having feelings for Lucas. Sure - I still love him. I'll always love Lucas Friar. But, never as much as I love you, Farkle Minkus."

"Really?"

I nodded while wiping tears.

"Why are you crying, Riley?"

"I'm not sure if you love me." I choked on the last three words.

"What? How can you doubt my love for you?" He quickly stood.

"How could I not?" I stood too.

"What do you mean? Have I ever given you a reason not to?"

"Come on Farkle." I scoffed through tears. "I saw you and Smackle at the movies. You said you were at home, sick and in bed."

"Riles -"

"Farkle, you lied. I've never lied to you," I took a deep breath in. "I opened up to you - about everything."

"Riley, I know that. I appreciate that. What I don't get is why you didn't just told me you saw me in the first place."

"Because you obviously didn't want me to know you'll be there and you lied about being sick because you didn't want to go with me."

He shook his head and tried to take my hand.

"Why didn't you want to go with me? Is there something wrong with me? Do you not love me anymore?"

He didn't say anything. I took that as a hint and left.

"I need space." I mumbled.
