Nani's p.o.v:
"Yay!" Riley screeched as she rushed over to hug Les, Gabe and I.
We were currently about to all catch the subway to the movie theater.
"Hi,guys!" I said as I group hugged Maya and Lucas.
"Forgetting someone?" Shawn pouted as he stretched out his arms, ready to receive my hug.
"Nah." I said after pretending to consider it. His jaw dropped as I turned around, ignoring him.
"I'm just kidding!" I turned around and jumped on him.
"Where's Farkle?" Les asked looking around.
"He's not feeling well." Riley said slowly while playing with her fingers in a nervous matter.
"Let me rephrase that," Maya interrupted. "Farkle Minkus is sick." She made air quote marks.
"Farkle is sick Maya." Riley said crossing her arms. "He wouldn't lie to me. I believe him."
Just as things seemed to get awkward the subway arrived and we let an elderly couple go in first, then we all hopped in.
Shawn took my hand and guided me to the back of the subway where there was an empty chair in which he sat and then pulled me down to his lap.
"You look beautiful." He whispered in my ear, making goosebumps run all over my body.
"You look handsome." I said turning my head to kiss his soft, baby pink cheek.
"I missed you yesterday." Shawn said as he hugged me tighter against him.
"Me too."
I looked straight ahead and I could see Gabe looking at me, then turning his gaze back to his phone.
"He likes you."
Maya's words repeated in my head, enough times to make me dizzy and my stomach sick. Gabe couldn't absolutely ever like me. We don't belong together. My place is with Shawn and nothing could change that.
I felt a light kiss and soft lips make contact with my cheek.
"What are you thinking about?" Shawn interlaced his hands with mine.
"Us."
"Really?" He let go of my hands and turned me so that I was sitting on my side.
"Yeah." I nodded slowly.
"What about us?"
"How I couldn't imagine being without you."
"Not going to happen. Never. Nani, you do realize we're stuck with eachother? I love you too much to let you go."
My heart melted at his words, and my stomach was filled with an infinite amount of butterflies. All I could do was smile and kiss his sweet lips.
"I love you too."
"Good, let's keep it that way." He smirked and kissed me again. The subway stopped and I heard Riley saying "Yay!" once more.
I stood and interlaced his fingers with mine. We walked out of the subway, and went in with the rest of the group.
As we stood in the line, I saw a group of 13 year olds who were whispering amongst themselves and peering over at me. One was smiling and blushing, and then a blonde one took a photo and giggled. The camera wasn't even pointing towards me tho. It was more over to my far right and I turned my head to see Gabe and Shawn standing in front of Lucas.
