Ten beautiful ladies were walked up to a grassy area where they would all meet the potential loves-of-their-lives, on a breathtaking Hawaiian island."Are you as excited as I am?", Tessa whispered to her newfound friend, Hadley. The two had bonded over their mutual dislike for the party life and similar reasonings for being single. Back in their hometowns, they were the girls who all the guys thought were awesome and all the girls thought were sluts.
"As excited as I can be when I'm this nervous", Hadley laughed. Tessa had been more open to fooling around and making the most of her life as a single girl, while Hadley, on the other hand, viewed it as a golden opportunity - a chance to escape from relationships altogether.
The herd of women quieted as they approached a group of rowdy boys and the smiling, awaiting host.
"Hi, ladies!", Ryan Devlin, the host, cheered. They all said their 'hello's to him in return. "And hello, gentlemen." The men replied with a grumble of various greetings. Butterflies swarmed in the contestants stomachs like Walmart-shoppers on Black Friday. "You are all gathered here today because...you suck at relationships."
A blonde guy shouted, "Amen!", gaining several laughs.
The host chuckled then continued his spiel. "In fact you suck so badly, that we can't afford to waste time. We're gonna get right into it. We've preselected one boy and one girl whose applications revealed that they are extremely close to one of their parents. Go ahead and step forward, Summer and Jett." The three stepped up as their teammates applauded them. "Since you consider your parent to be your best friend, you must really trust in them. So, that being said, we let them pick, from the other contestants, who they think you would be most attracted to." Everyone looked around in shock and excitement.
"Oh no", Summer laughed, covering her face with her thin-fingered hands.
Summer: "I love my mom the most out of anyone else in the world, but she does not know what I look for in a guy", she cackled.
"Alright, Summer how about you first?" Summer gave an unenthusiastic smile. "Your mom chose for you and she picked..." Summer clenched her teeth, anticipating the name. "Joshua. Come on up here, Joshua."
Joshua came to Summer's side, wearing his signature beaming smile.
"Summer, your mom said she chose Joshua because of his 'bright and kind smile'. What do you think of her choice?", Ryan pried.
"Well," Summer began, "usually my mom has absolutely no clue what my taste in guys is like but this time I can say I'm pleasantly surprised." The guys began to cheer for Joshua.
"And Jett.", Ryan announced. "Jett, you have a very close relationship with your mom, and she was pretty confident that she would pick a lady that you'd like. She went with miss Hadley." Hadley did a little dance as she went to stand with Jett. "Jett, do you think your mom had a good instinct?"
Jett smiled and laughed. "Yeah, Hadley is a beautiful girl and mother knows best, so...", he trailed off and shrugged. A few girls 'aw'ed at his compliment to Hadley.
"Okay, as for the rest of the housemates, you will be voting one of these two couples into the truth booth, the only way to confirm if someone is a perfect match or not. If you do get a match, not only will that couple move immediately into a honeymoon suite, but you will also add an extra $250,000 to your overall winnings", Ryan explained. Everybody squealed in disbelief, chattering about the huge lump-sum of cash.
