"That would be mine as well."
Cassy smiled and pointed out on her menu as the waiter moves his pen to write down her order on his note. As soon as the waiter exited, her fam started talking and random things were brought up to their topic.

They were having a dinner at a restaurant and since both of her parents were celebrities, they didn't get to disguise that much for the place was not really crowded.

While they were having a chitchat, Cassy felt a sudden bump on her side. She turned her head and saw a cute little girl stumbled on her side. She helped her stood up.

"You okay little girl?" Cassy asked the teary-eyed little girl. She nodded as a response rubbing both of her knees.

"Cassy?" Mina, her mother, asked and peeked, "Who is this cute little girl?"

The two, Mavy and her tatay Zoren, also peeped at her, obviously curious about the little girl Mommy Mina asked.

"She tripped." Cassy answered and pulled her hanky on from pocket and slightly rubbed against her hurt knees to atleast ease her pain. Mabuti nalang at hindi nagkasugat.

"You okay, baby girl?" Mina asked.

"I'm okay."

"Be careful next time, okay?" Cassy slightly tapped her nose and smiled.

"Okay." The little girl answered and a cute smile crept on her lips, "Thank you, pretty ate."

She waved at her as she walks away from them then headed towards to the other side of table.

"Come again, ma'am, sir," said the guard when they headed out the resto. Once they went out, Cassy started to feel her pockets and purse.

Dang! Her phone was gone!
She tried to stay calm and recall where was the last time she left it.

Maybe I left it in the resto.

Her family seemed not to notice her panic. They were too busy having a conversation with each other. Cassy cast a glance toward the restaurant they got from. The resto was not that far so she decided to make a run back there.

"Mom..." she called and all of them turned their head to her.

"I need to go back at the restaurant. I think I forgot and left my phone there."

And then her mother started to panic and react. While on the other hand, Zoren, her dad, was calm and said, "Let's go back then."

"No. It's okay, dad. I can manage. Ako nalang ang pupunta doon. I'll be back in a few minutes." Before his father could utter his answer, Cassy quickly pivoted and headed back to the resto.

As soon as she get back, the waiter, the one who took their orders earlier, greeted her with her phone, asking if that was her phone. Thankful, she answered yes and said her thanks to the boy. She sighed in relief and went out again.

"Phew. That was close." She mumbled and gave more grip on her phone. She doesn't want to almost lose it again.

All of a sudden, her phone started vibrating on her grip. She took a look at the caller ID and it was her twin brother, Maverick.

"Hello?" Said Mavy from the other line.

"Mav, this is me, Cassy."

"Good thing you found your phone. Oh! And yeah, we will be waiting for you here at the parking lot."

"Okay. I'm heading there right now."

"Okay. I'll hang up. Be safe, sis, okay?"

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye. Labyu!"

She chuckled at his remark and shot back, "Heh, korni. Bye." And then she ended their phone call and continue her walk.

While walking her way to the parking lot, Cassy was stopped by the sound of a girl crying loudly from a distance, wailing her mother's name. She passed her head to where she assume the sobbing girl was. Surprisingly, it was the same cute girl who tripped earlier at her side at the resto.

"Mamiii!" Shouted the little girl and her sobs were getting louder and louder.

She was about to take a step to help the little girl find her mom but then she was put on hold when someone came randomly popped out of nowhere and came running towards the girl. She wasn't sure if this human being was a boy or a girl. She watched the scene, studying the creature the little girl with. Wearing an all out black clothes-- black shirt with hoodie, jeans, shoes, a cap on his head and wearing  sunglasses, totally covering his eyes. Dagdag mo pa ang anino mula sa cap na suot nito. She supposed that this person is a guy. And his clothing style make him look mysterious... and somewhat suspicious.

Hmm, wearing sunglasses at night. Where's the sun?

Looking like a kidnapper.

Surprised by her thought, she could sense her state of panic in her system again.

Oh my! Maybe this guy's a kidnapper!

Cassy let her guard on. Naku, if ever that this guy is a kidnapper, there would be no second thought of attacking him! Di hamak na mas matangkad ng isang daliri naman si Cassy kesa sa lalakeng ito at may alam din naman siyang martial arts kaya sigurado siyang yakang-yaka na din niya ito. But the again, she didn't sense any harm in him and she did not know why. And this guy's also familiar to her na para bang nakita na niya ito somewhere but she can't recall where or when. Baka may kamukha lang siguro.

The next thing she knew, she was astonished when this mysterious guy kneeled to level the kid and started to say things to make her calm. Hindi man niya narinig ang sinabi ng lalake but she's sure na pinapatahan niya ang bata. And then she saw him getting something from his jeans pocket and it was a hanky and used it to wipe away her tears. May sinabi ulit ito sa bata na dahilan para tumango ito at tumahan. The young genuinely smiled at him and he then offered his hand which the little girl accepted. He slowly stood up but his sunglasses seemed to tangle up with the hood of his jacket. Dahil sa pagkakabuhol sa hoodie ay nahulog ito sa lupa.

Cassy's eyes widened in shock. She was shock by looking at those chinky eyes he have. Hindi niya akalaing isang cute chinito boy na sa tingin niya ay nasa age niya din ito and inakala niyang kidnapper. Natatawa siya sa sarili niya. But instead of laughing harder at her own thought, napatitig siya sa lalake.

Mukhang kinabahan ang lalake at patingin-tingin sa paligid niya as if he was a famous person na anytime may fans na susugod sa kanya. He rushed to picked up his glasses and as fast as flash he wore it.

Ngumiti ang lalake at nakipaghawak-kamay sa bata na ngayo'y nakangiti na. And she was stunned by his captivating smile, she did not know why her eyes struck on him. Dahil na din siguro sa malayo siya sa dalawa kaya hindi siya napansin at idagdag pa na nakapwesto siya sa bandang madilim na lugar.

Pero kahit na mukhang maamo ang lalake, she won't still let her guard off. Naglakad palayo ang dalawa, alam niyang safe ang bata sa lalake and she could sense it kaya sinundan niya lang ito ng tingin. Nakita niyang dinala nito ang bata sa may resto kung saan galing sila doon ng kanyang pamilya at kinausap ata ang security. Naghintay siya sa susunod na nangyari. The kid's mother came crying towards her child then hugged her. Kagaya kanina, hindi pa din niya marinig ang pinag-usapan nagpapasalamat na ang ina sa lalake.

She sighed in relief. Good thing at nakabalik na ang bata sa mommy niya. Her phone vibrated again and she supposed it was a text message. She opened it and the message was from Mavy, asking where she was.

I'm on my way. Sorry to keep you waiting and make you worry.

She decided to walk back to the parking lot, kung sang pamilya niya na naghihintay na sa kanya.
