Razer had been searching for Aya for weeks. He was almost giving up, so he decided to go to the place where they had been happy, the place they had nearly kissed at. Illana's grave.
He still blamed himself. Why had he said those things to her, why had he hurt her so? He tried not to dwell on the whys.
He took a deep breath before stepping near the grave. What he saw took his breath away.
Aya. Deactivated, but still Aya.
He brought her close, not caring that she was deactivated. She was there. His beloved Aya, was there.
Tears of thankfulness streamed down his face.
He soon set to work trying to activate her. Nothing mechanical would work, so it had to be emotional. Trust the green lanterns to make something work through emotions.
"Aya, I'm sorry, I love you. I'm sorry for hurting you, sorry for making you sacrifice yourself for me. Sorry for everything." He could hear clockwork.
Then he did something he thought he would never do.
He kissed her.
She started kissing back and they held each other.
Nothing was said. Not for a while. Then Razer asked.
"Why??"
"Because I love you. You do anything for those you love, correct?" She said, her voice soft.
He nodded.
"I spent all my time looking for you. Trying to find you.
I love you too Aya, regardless of what I say." Her small smile lit up her face. It was clear that all was forgiven. On both sides. It wouldn't be easy for Aya. The guardians would probably try to dismantle her. He would stop them.
Razer and Aya were together, and that was all that mattered.
