Nalu: First, Last Love

Chapter 4

 Lucy's (POV) days pass after the mission. Things go on as usual Natsu constantly bugging me and Gray ignoring me. He's been so distant after Juvia came. I don't understand. I thought we where friends... 

Natsu's (POV) I realize how bad a Lucy has been feeling here lately. I see her in the guild hall setting by herself. I'm gonna ask her if she wants to go on a mission just the two of us to get her mind off things. Besides, I know who's making her feel this way. 

Lucy's (POV) "Lucy!" Natsu yelled and came running up to me. "What's wrong?" I asked worried. He smiled. "Where going a job today." He said taking my hand. "W-wait...what are you doing. What about gray and Juvia?"I asked. "It's all good, they will meet us there." He said. "Are you sure!" I asked very confused. "Yep, Juvia said so." Natsu said running with my hand entwined in his out of the guild. "Let go Natsu. Also, what kind of job is this?" I asked. "It's a small one. It's about a fishing dock that's haunted or something." He said, which ran chills down my spine. He realized I was scared of ghosts because he squeezed me and said everything is fine. I'll protect you. I blushed. Why does this idiot make me blush so much? I've only know him for a week. Yet...I don't know. This is crazy I thought to myself trying to put Natsu out of my head. It was hard because he wouldn't let go of my hand and we where right beside one another. "Is it really necessary to hold my hand?" I asked. "Is there a problem? He blushed. "N-o I guess it's fine." I said. What the heck did I just say. Heck no it's not fine. Let go idiot I thought to myself. "Here's the dock." Natsu said. It was foggy and it was almost dark out. "Natsu. I don't know about this..." I said scared. He pulled my face closer to his. "I'm here. You'll be perfectly fine." He said. I blushed harder. "Ok, ok. No need to bring our faces so close." I said stuttering. We walked closer to the dock. "Natsu is that a man?" I asked as the shadow got closer. "I'm all fired up now!" He said. "Wait! Natsu!" I screamed. "Let's work together" he said. It's the first time I've ever stood right beside someone in battle. It made me happy.
