A few days later passed after the incident with Nick. Callie had a broken rib and a split lip. The doctor said she needed to rest.
"Hey honey, can I come in?" Said Stef
"Yeah sure"
"How are you feeling love?"
"Better, the medication that the doctor gave me helped"
"Okay, if you need something just call me"
"Thanks"
"You hang in there" Stef said while giving Callie a hug
After Stef left, Mariana came into the room
"Hey Callie, can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Sure, what's up?"
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry, I feel so bad for not saving you" Mariana said while crying
"Mariana, it's not your fault. You couldn't have done anything about it"
"Yes I could have. I could have stopped Nick and.." Mariana said and Callie interrupted her
"Mariana, he had a gun. If you could have tried to do something. You probably wouldn't be here"
Mariana looked down realizing that Callie was right
"Mariana, look at me. I don't blame you for everything that happened with Nick, it's not your fault" Callie said while giving a hug to Mariana
"Let's go to sleep, we have school tomorrow"
"Ok"
They both went to sleep not knowing what to expect for tomorrow
