Sun,Sand and True Love

The proposition

It had been about three weeks since i had moved to Bondi. I was settling into my new routine of waking up, quick breakfast and fitting in some extra training before work. I had made a few close friends at work, including Mouse,Maxi and Whippet, but generally got on with everyone great. Besides Bisho.

Ever since the slightly awkward first day with Bisho, we hadn't really spoken. If we were on duty together we would just watch the water and help deal with members of the public. In a way i dreaded my shifts with Bisho, due to the awkwardness that was somehow surrounding us but, for some reason i couldn't wait to be next to him for an hour or so. Whenever he would speak i felt my nerve endings stand on end as if they were trying to grasp every sexy tone of his voice.

Friday had rolled around and walking into the office i overheard the boys talking. "You ask her! you want her to come!" I hid behind the door trying to hear more of the conversation. I heard Bisho beging to speak. "It's not that i want her to come, i just feel out of order that we havent invited her out with us yet." I began to wonder who they were talking about when i remembered. I am the only girl in this place. "Yeahhh let Tash come! we can do shots and i can see what she's really all about" Maxi laughed. All of a sudden I felt two arms wrap round my waist. "You know what we do to eaves droppers here Tash!" Mouse joked as i was squealing and wriggling around in his arms. He ran out of the tower with me securly fastened in his grip, running towards the sea. "PLEASE ... STOP..NO!" I shouted between laughter. By this point I looked up at the tower to see all eyes were on me. "I'll do anything Mouse!" Yelping as we got ever closer to the ocean. He stopped and put me down. Catching my breath i saw a smirk begin to form on his face. "Anything?" he laughed not taking that devlish smirk off of his face. I stood up straight and smiled. "Within reason pal". He laughed "Well, im not sure if you are aware of the awkwardness surrounding you and Bisho..". Just as he said his name i knew i wasn't going to like the sound of this idea. "Go on.." i said nervously. "Well, to try and break the tension between you both I think you should go in the tower and kiss Whippet!" I looked at him questioningly. "And how on earth would that break the awkwardness between me and Bish?!" i exclaimed, still questioning his previous proposal. "If you kiss Whip, Bish will say something i know he will." Mouse was still carrying the smug look across his face. "Bish clearly likes you Tash, thats why he's being such an ass to you recently because he dont know your reaction towards him!" Just ask the words escaped his mouth i was trying to register the thought that Bish likes me. Surely this couldn't be true. "You're on!" i smiled. "Only because i am about to prove you wrong and show you that Bish doesn't like me!". Mouse smiled and picked me up again carrying me to the tower.

We walked in pretending nothing had happened. The boys looked our way as we walked through the door and up the few steps. "What the hell went on there then?" questioned Kerrbox, clearly confused by mine and Mouses childish behavoir. "Just thought I'd give Tash a quick wake up as she seemed a bit sleepy walking here." The boys then turned their attention to me. I let out a fake yawn. "Yeah i felt a bit shattered but am fully awake now. thanks Mouse" i gave him a quick glare as he nodded and smiled. I cautiously walked over to where Whip was standing and leaned against the desk infront of him. He smiled and me and carried on looking at the water. I looked over his shoulder to see Mouse making pretend kissing faces behind Whip, extending his tongue a little too far out of his mouth as he dribbled slightly. Trying to hold in my laughter i turned back to Whip. "Fuck it" i muttered under my breath reaching down and pulling Whippets face towards mine. I planted a soft kiss on his lips, not lasting too long, but long enough for everyone to notice what i had done. I sat back up to find my face met with 5 Men looking at me questioningly and Whip just staring blankly. I was about to reveal my reasons for my actions when Bish stood up. He marched out the tower with a very angry expression across his face. Watching as the door slammed behind him Whippet turned to me. "Erm Tash.. care to explain that very shocking but, rather nice kiss to me?" I laughed. "Basically Mouse had gotten the idea into his head that Bish liked me and told me to kiss you too see if it made him jealous" i said nervously looking back over at mouse. "Well Tash, i think it woked. We all had our suspicions he liked you and from his reaction just now, thats confirmed it." Kerrbox chuckled. Maxi smiled at me. "Go run after him, double check he's okay hun". Listening to Maxi's orders i started to walk out the tower. Not before playfully whacking Mouse on the arm for this stupid idea.

I jogged down to the Northern set of flags. It wasn't too busy today, due to the cloudy storm like atmosphere. Bisho saw me coming his way as he stood up from inside Rihno and leaned on the bonnet. I walked up and leaned next to him. "You know that wasn't serious right? Mouse told me to do it." i tried to give a small laugh at the end but it never really came out. He turned to me as i saw his shoulders drop down realeasing some tension."Well, that was a pretty strange thing to do" he chuckled. "Yeah i know, why did you react like that though?" I questioned. I felt myself blush slightly so i looked down at the sand to avoid eye contact. I felt Bish shuffle round slightly. "I don't know, guess i just didnt like seeing you kiss someone else" I looked up at him. He was smiling down at me as his cheeks turned a light shade of crimson. I never knew what to reply. Was he saying he liked me? or just never liked seeing me kiss someone? Confused i was about to speak before i was cut off by him. "Come for a drink with me tonight. I feel a bit bad for being such a dick to you" he let out a small laughmaking me smile instantly at his request. "Sure Bish, erm i dont really know any places around here" Thinking about it, i hadn't really been anywhere in Bondi besides work, my flat and just down to the shops to get some food. He laughed. "Well how about i meet you at the Icebergs arond 7ish?". I nodded in agreement. We stood awkwardly for a few more seconds as we looked up. The sun was coming out. Which meant this quiet Bondi morning, was about to become one hectic afternoon.
