Why hello again! Here's Chapter Three! Some stuff finally happens! Woo! I hope y'all like it! :)
Chapter Three (Lucy’s Perspective)
The lads did fantastic for their opening show. Their rehearsal went as smoothly as it could possibly go. They horsed around when they were supposed to be learning their dance routine. They took the piss out of it, more or less. I laughed with them as they made up their own dance moves and rejected those that they learned on the last tour.
Minutes before the show was supposed to start, Louis hijacked a gator and sped around the backstage area with Harry holding on for dear life on the back, whipping around columns and the wheels almost coming off the ground on one side a couple of times. Zayn fled from security on a skateboard. Niall just ran. Liam sat back on the sidelines watching the show with me.
“Are they always like this before a show?” I asked him in between giggles.
“If they weren’t, I would think something was seriously wrong,” Liam replied, grinning crookedly. He jumped up and waved Louis down, who screeched to a stop in front of him and allowed him to hop on before pealing out again and leaving black skid marks on the concrete floor. I clutched my stomach and wiped tears from the corners of my eyes as Harry flew off the back as Louis rounded a particularly sharp corner. He tucked and rolled and his legs flew over his body, hitting the ground on the other side of him as he collapsed and shook with laughter. Within seconds, one of the boys’ bodyguards had scooped him up and was shoving him towards me with rather annoyed expressions on his face. Harry put all of his weight on his feet in front of him, trying to stop his momentum, but his boots just slid across the concrete with a high pitched squeal until they made it to me.
“Keep him under control, will you?” Paul Higgins, one of the guards, asked me, shoving Harry towards me rather roughly. His feet, still dragging on the ground, remain planted as his upper body flew forwards, arms outstretched to catch himself. His palms smacked into the wall on either side of my shoulders and he stopped himself before completely flattening me. He grinned devilishly before attempting to turn and take off again. I latched my arms around his waist and he doubled over with the force of how quickly he was trying to escape. I looked to Paul for help, but he was busy running after Zayn and attempting to grab onto the back of his pants to stop him. Preston Mahon, another guard, was chasing after Niall. Finally, Alberto Alvarez was attempting to yank the keys out of the golf cart Louis and Liam were flying around in. I slid to the floor and pulled Harry down with me. He raised himself up on his arms and tried unsuccessfully to get his feet under him again, but I was too strong. I threw myself over his back and laid on top of him, pinning him to the floor. He was breathing heavily and his cheek was pressed flat against the cold, hard concrete. Curls were splayed across the side of his face, already slightly damp with sweat.
“Don’t fight it!” I commanded, slipping my hands under his arms and locking my fingers behind his neck, forcing him into a hold of sorts. He groaned and eventually stopped fighting, catching his breath and mock-glaring at me through the corner of his eye.
Louis, Liam, Niall, and Zayn were rounded up just in time for the show and the boys went on and sang their hearts out, just like they do at every show. Their stage antics brought on laughs from the thousands of girls in the audience, just like every show. They were superb.
