Chapter Eleven (Harry’s Perspective)

I wake up in the morning with a pounding headache and no Lucy. I figure she’s gone to take a shower or something. I sit up and see two pills and a bottle of water on the nightstand. I reach out and swallow them with a swig of the water. I finish the bottle off in one chug and crush it in my grip before tossing it across the room into the trashcan. I miss. But only by a couple of centimeters. “Swish…” I mumble.

I get up and drop the empty plastic bottle in the trashcan and stretch. I open the door to the bathroom, expecting to see Lucy, but she isn’t there. I take a piss and flush, heading back into the hotel room. I need some food.

After pulling on some clothes from my duffel bag, I take the elevator downstairs and head straight for the breakfast buffet. I shovel a load of scrambled eggs onto my plate, a massive stack of pancakes, several strips of bacon, and douse it all in syrup. It’s all completely devoured in minutes.

Just as I’m about to clear my plate off the table, I hear a couple of familiar voices.

“Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Say, where’s Perrie?” Niall asks Zayn as they head into the room.

“She’s in bed still. I didn’t want to wake her up,” Zayn replies, locking eyes with me for the first time. “Haz! How are you feeling? Liam told us what happened!” They rush over to me, joining me at the small table.

“I’m fine. How did Liam know?” I ask, leaning back in my chair.

“Lucy texted him? She said that you got overheated and she took you back here.”

“Yeah, we were worried sick, ‘Arry,” Niall says, running a hand through his bleach blonde hair.

“Well, I’m fine. Thanks, though,” I say again. “Hey, do either of you know where she is now? I woke up and she was gone. She left some painkillers on the nightstand for my hangover, but she wasn’t around.”

“She’s with Liam. I saw her sneaking in his room this morning around six,” Niall explains. I give him an incredulous look. “What?” He inquires. “I wasn’t sneaking around!”

“I’m more concerned that you were awake at six this morning!” I laugh, quieting myself when my ears start to ring.

“I was hungry, I couldn’t take it anymore. This is breakfast number two,” He says, grinning. I roll my eyes at him, chuckling. Typical Niall.

“Why was she going to Liam’s room at six this morning, though?” Zayn asks, narrowing his eyes in thought.

“I don’t know. She’s been spending a lot of time with him lately,” I say with a shrug. I didn’t mind. She’s always going to be mine. No one can take her fully away from me. I don’t have anything to worry about. Zayn makes a sound of agreement and he and Niall go and get their breakfast. I stand up and head back upstairs. I feel like seeing her and Liam.
