Roses pov
I woke up to see I was strapped down to the bed, just like any other day. A raven haired nurse looked down at me with a sneer as the brunette read some notes on an old clip board "Doctor Hedges is away today...." The brunette said, I starred up at the two with a hint of excitement in my eyes. "So he left us a couple notes on what to do with yo-" the raven haired girl said, but before she could finish I decided to have some of the little fun I ever have here. I started thrashing my body and slamming my head off of the small hard pillow, the nurses groaned and tried to hold me down "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!? IM JUST TRYING TO HELP MY MENTAL STATE! WOULDN'T YOU LIKE ME BETTER DEAD?!" I yelled in hysterics before the brunette looked at her notes and pulled the raven haired nurse away from me. "It says that when she does this we have to let her out, also it's time for her to eat." She said, the other nurse nodded and started to get me out of the bed.
They both grabbed my arms as I thrashed down the hallway "let me go!!Let me live for once! ahahaha!" I screeched in amusement as they brought me to the cafeteria, in front of me were all the children who were sent here. Each of then had a nurse by their side as they ate the cold porridge we received every day, but there was one patient who didn't have a nurse by her side, Vanessa.
Vanessa was put in here a while ago for having multiple suicide attempts and serious depression, the nurses give her extra privileges because they don't want her to try to kill herself again. I smiled as the nurses let me go and walk over to my best friend, she had the headphones Doctor Hedges gave her and she was bobbing her head to the beat. "Hello! Long time to see, isn't it?" I asked, she looked up and gave me a smile as she stopped playing the music and put her headphones on her neck "hey there Rosie, still haven't dyed you're hair I see!" She said and messed up my short brown hair, I looked up at hers. She dyed it green and purple a while ago, and she always had it up in a bun because the nurses said it would 'intimidate' the little children here.
She chuckled and put her earphones on my head "listen to this! The nurses said I shouldn't download it but I managed to smuggle it in, I think you'll like it." She said, the nurses made sure that whatever music Vanessa downloaded was approved by Doctor Hedges, but being the sneaky rebel she is, Vanessa always managed to get her own songs in without no anyone knowing.
She pressed the play button and looked to see if a nurse was looking, she smiled mischievously when she saw some kid was having a tantrum......so all focus was on him. "My friends don't walk they run, skinny dippin rabbit holes for fun. Poppin poppin balloons with guns, getting high of helium!" The girls melodic voice hypnotized me as I listened to the words she sang "I'm nuts, baby I'm mad! The craziest fun that you've ever had! You think I'm psyco you think I'm gone, tell the psychiatrist something is wrong!"
Once the song was done I gave the earphones back in a trance like state, Vanessa laughed and patted my head "like it Rosie?" She asked, I nodded "yeah! It sounds like good noise!" I exclaimed, Vanessa smiled before looking back over to the crowd of kids. All of them were getting their strait jackets put back on, which meant it was time to go back to our white little rooms.
A nurse started to make her way over to us with my strait jacket, but Vanessa pulled my ear up to her mouth "Rosie, you see that nurse coming over here?" She asked, I nodded with a confused look on my face as the nurse walked over with a quickened pace. "Her arms look too perfect, give her a bite mark for me, would you?" She asked in a mysterious tone "anything for a blood buddy." I whispered, and once the nurse came over,I acted.
I'm not really sure why Vanessa asked me to, but I did it without question. I pounced on to the nurse and mashed my teeth into her arm, screaming in her ear the whole time. The nurse let out painful wails as other nurses came over to help the one I was attacking, soon they managed to rip me off the bleeding nurse angrily. I looked over to tell Vanessa I did it, but she wasn't there.
Multiple thoughts ran through my head as I felt a sting in my back, a syringe. Everything started to grow hazy as one word filled my mind, BETRAYAL

Vanessa's pov
I watched Rose attack the nurse, and when no one was looking I ran, I could hear the screams of the nurse Rose assaulted as I ran into the treatment room, it's the place they take kids who 'don't listen'. I looked at the metal walls and small belted up bed and winced, knowing Roses unconscious body would be here soon.
I hid in the supply closet full of 'medicine' they inject the kids with, I held my breath as I peeked through the crack in the door and saw the nurses were already here with Rose. They set her on the bed and strapped her down, anger filled my body as I looked at the bitches pull out the needles and pills, I've been in this room before for trying to hang myself with my old headphone wire, and I know how much torture they put you through.
Ever since Rose was checked in here, everything changed for me. Her backwards living made me laugh and her happy personality kept me from going off the edge, and looking at her on that bed made my insides bubble with rage.
I've been planning this for a while, me and Rose are getting out of here, tonight. I knew that if I timed it right, Rose would attack a nurse and they would bring her here if Doctor Hedges allowed it, but he wasn't here today. And since the nurses just  hate Rose, they'll do the worst possible things to her when no one is looking.
I knew that if I could take out the two nurses in here without causing a scene, I could get Rose and me out of this hell of a building, I looked to my left and saw the empty needles they would soon need to use, and to my right were the large bottles of anesthetic.
I filled a needle to the top and waited,
I saw the nurses slapping my best friends face to wake her up, soon Rose started to groan so the nurses went to open the cabinet to start the torture. One nurse put her hand on one of the cabinet doors, but before she could get it halfway open I leaped out and stabbed the syringe into her neck. She screamed as I injected the 'medicine' into her, and smiled when she hit the floor. The other nurse screamed and tried to get away, but since she was an old hag I managed to get her before she made it out the door.
Once they were both out cold I jumped over to the table to see rose opening her eyes, I smiled down at her as I started to undo the straps tying her down "hey there Rosie,let's get outa here."

Roses pov
Vanessa helped me out of the bed and put me on her back, she was 24 so she was much taller and stronger than me. I looked down at the nurses and saw a syringe on the floor "Rosie, I had this planned for a long time. We're bustin' outa this hell hole tonight!" Vanessa exclaimed, before sprinting down the hall.
I screamed in surprise as multiple nurses let out gasps, soon alarms were ringing and doors were getting locked. I could hear Vanessa gasping for breaths as we neared the front door, it was bolted shut. Vanessa panicked as the screams of the nurses get louder, I looked around frantically for an escape route, and my eyes lit up when I saw one.
"Go through the invisible air!" I yelled, and pointe to a small little window. It was big enough for both of us to fit through, if we ran fast enough. Without even thinking I felt Vanessa charge at the glass, I let out a scream as the sound of glass shattering filled my ears, and pain filled my body.
Blood was the first thing I saw, Vanessa's face had a long bloodstream going down it and her lip was busted. She looked at me with concern before shaking it off and weakly running away from the building, the sound of tracking dogs barking and nurses shouting filled my head as wind blew my hair. Vanessa started to tip and wobble as we entered a dark forest, memories flooded into my mind as I heard the sound of owls in the trees.
Vanessa didn't stop, she was trudging faster than anyone I had ever seen. I could smell sweat on her as her bun fell and her hair whipped my face. "I see something Rosie!" Vanessa declared out of breath. as the sound of dogs grew louder. I looked up ahead to see there was something black in the ground "it's a lake! We'll hide in there!" She said in a weak tone, she closed her eyes tightly and pushed herself to run faster. We sped through the forest as I kept her going in the right direction "almost to the hole of crysta-" I said, before I got a better look at the 'lake'. What kind of a lake has no water in it, and no bottom? It was a hole.
I let out a screech for Vanessa to stop, but it was too late. She gasped as her tired and bloody legs floated directly above the hole for a second,before our hair floated above our heads and we started falling.
Vanessa held me to her chest and made sure she was the one to land first, I let out wails of protest but she held my mouth shut. She screamed as the bottom could be seen coming into focus, but something about the bottom made Vanessa stop screaming. It was white and furry with blue and yellow stripes.
