Aleera sighed and walked down into her living room. Kristen was draped across the full length of the couch. One leg over the back and the other over the arm, she was staring straight at the television as some action film played.
She plopped on the chair and tried to lose herself in the explosions that illuminated the screen and room. An actor screamed on the television when her vision went black.
___
It was the man that had been consuming her dreams. The man from the park, Loki, stood on the rooftop of the Stark tower. The same one that stuck out like sore thumb in the city, and one that was constantly talked about on the news.
His black hair was pinned beneath a gold helmet with two large horns protruding from the front.
She could see his face clear as crystal, hiss eyes were not the same, they were a glowing blue. Aleera took notice of the spear that had gem glowing the same color. A wicked smile sat on his lips. It didn't seem right, surely this couldn't be the same man.
Explosions went off in the distance and then it hit Aleera, this must have been the attack on New York. They never released names or faces of those involved... It would only make sense.
Shouts and screams could be heard from the city below.
This was not Loki, this was a monster.
_____
She was shaking. No she was being shook.
Aleera came to with Kristen shaking her shoulders saying her name.
She blinked herself out of her mind fog and she looked around.
"What the hell?" She asked."I was saying the same thing!" Kristen yelled.
"What happened?" Aleera asked trying to wrap her head around what just happened.
"All I know is I turned to ask you something, and you fold over like a lawn chair. You gave me a heart attack. Christ, Aleera. Are you okay?" Her sister was still kneeling in front of her.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay I think. It was-" Aleera gestured around her."Like one of those damn tv shows you like we're there's psychics and stuff and certain things triggers visions."Kris arched an eyebrow. "A psychic? Visions? Are you sure you didn't hit your head somewhere?"
"I just telling you what happened. It's up to you if believe me." Aleera snapped, her curls bouncing on her shoulders.
"Okay whatever. You're not one to make up stuff. I guess I believe it." She paused before adding, "What was your so called vision about anyways?"
Aleera ran her hand through her hair.
"Remember the so called terrorist attack on New York?"
"Who doesn't?"
"Well, that was what it was. I saw a man- I am certain I've seen him before- and he was standing on the Stark tower with a glowing stick thing, he had a horned helmet."Kristen's face went slack. "You saw a Viking with a glow stick." She deadpanned.
"Ah, no. It was more of a spear with a gem. His helmet, the horns stuck forward and curved back. They were gold kind of shaped similar to a ram I guess. He seemed out of this world. Not a attractive wise, but alien like."
"So an ugly Viking alien with a sharp glow stick trying to rule New York on the Stark tower?"
"He wasn't ugly Kris."
Her sister rolled her eyes.
"A handsome Viking alien with a sharp glow stick."Aleera shrugged. "If you want to put it that way."
Kristen stood rubbing the back of her neck. "Sounds a bit bizarre but I'm sure there has been weirder. Meanwhile why don't you go lay down?"
