A Maze Of Lies (A Loki Fic)

Chapter Four

It was two a.m. The late night city noises floated into Aleera's room. She laid in her bed staring up at the ceiling her mind reeling from the weeks events. Yesterday she had another vision, similar to the one a few days ago. Kristen wasn't home when she fell over in the kitchen and cut her hand open on a knife.
They were getting worse. The most recent on had her shaking and unconscious for around five minutes.
Aleera balled up a fist full of her blanket in frustration. Pursing her lips she threw her legs over the side of the bed, blinking to make sure she was awake completely.
She stood and walked to her bathroom. She scratched the back of her head and tried to fix her hair some.
She shut the bathroom door behind her before relieving her bladder.
Looking down at the sink she turned on the water, splashing her face she looked up at the mirror.
What was in the mirror wasn't her, it was that man. His eyes were green, it looked like he took a breath.
As he exhaled the glass on the mirror frosted over and he began to write.
' Help me. '

Frightened and not positive this wasn't another dream, she went to touch the mirror.
The glass shattered into hundreds of pieces.

"Wake up, Aleera. I have to pee and you're in the way."

Aleera yawned and looked up to see a scowling Kris.
"Oh, yeah sorry."

"Did you crack the mirror?" The blonde touched the crack that split the glass jagged down the center.

"I don't think so."

"Okay, shoo. I gotta go."

Aleera scrambled up from the cold tile and shut the door behind her. She shook her head and meandered back into her bedroom. As she walked into her room, sparing a glance at her nightstand. Her digital alarm clock was stuck.
The time was blinking at 2:05 a.m.
Irritated and confused she lifted up the clock and took its batteries out and shoved it into the nightstand drawer.

Aleera didn't know if she wanted proof of her crazy or not.
