I opened my eyes, but all I could see was whiteness. I looked around, and I saw a blurry figure walking towards me. Once my eyes focused, I saw that the blurry figure was a man. I didn't know who he was, but he looked vaguely familiar. He looked kind, like someone you just want to hug.
"Who are you?" I whispered. "Where am I?"
The man smiled at me and replied, "Neither of those answers are important, darling. What is truly important is why you are here."
"Ok then... Why am I here?" I asked, extremely confused.
The man walked closer to me, and put a hand on my shoulder. "Five minutes," he started to say. "You wanted to know what five minutes could do. I can tell you."
"Are you talking about Evan?" I asked. "How did you know I was thinking about that? I've never told anybody that."
"That isn't important either, sweetheart. Do you want to know how those five minutes could have changed your life?" he asked, smiling kindly at me.
"Well... yeah," I said slowly.
"Well I can tell you what would have happened. In fact, I can show you," he said with a grin and a wink.

Beep beep beep! Beep beep beep!
I opened my eyes, and I was in my bedroom. My head hurt. I looked around at my familiar bedroom, but noticed some unfamiliar pictures. My mom opened my door and smiled at me.
"Oh good, you're awake, honey. How does your head feel?" she asked softly.
"It hurts. What happened?" I asked.
"You hit your head last night, remember?" she responded, looking really concerned.
"Oh right," I said with a smile, "I know, I was kidding." I forced a chuckle, pretending I knew what she was talking about.
"Ok sweetie, well go get ready for school, Evan should be here in about 45 minutes." she said, smiling.
"Evan..?" I said slowly.
"Yeah honey, Evan? Your boyfriend? The one that lives next-door and comes here to eat all of our food?" my mom replied with a small laugh. "You must have hit your head harder than we thought. Let me know if you start to feel bad."
As my mom walked out of my room, I grabbed my cell phone from the table beside my bed. I pressed a button and it lit up. The screen read "6:17 September 23rd". The wallpaper was a photo of me hugging some guy. He had dirty blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. I could never forget those eyes. Evan.
