The next day the bell to my apartment rings.

"Come on up." I say into the intercom while still in a towel after a shower.

I unlock the door and go to my room forgetting to shut the door completely.

I hear a knock and say, "come in."

"Hey." He says walking in.

"Hey. I'm just getting my gear on. I'll be out in a sec."

I put my gear on and put my hair in a pony tail them walk back out. Matt's face is a light shade of pink.

"Ready?" I ask.

"Yeah."

"Let's go. You'll be putting your bike in my truck."

"Okay." He says.

"And just to warn you this is different than a regular track. It isn't as smooth and it's much longer and has more twists and turns so it's perfect."

"Sounds fun." He says.

"There will be other people there so there won't be as much privacy and I don't know how many people will be there so keep your helmet on as much as possible I wouldn't want anyone to recognize you."

"I only want you to know it's me." He says looking at me while I drive.

"Yeah," I blush, "we don't want a mob."

We drive in silence for the remainder of the way. When we get there it's not as crowded as usual, so we are able to find a parking spot in the front.

"Help me get the bikes out and then put your helmet on."

He nods and gets out of the truck. We get the bikes out of the truck and I watch as Matt puts his green helmet on. We then head to the track.

"Well, well, where have you been?" Asks my friend Jason.

I laugh, "busy."

"And who's your friend." He asks me suspiciously.

"This is Matt."

Matt nods in acknowledgement.

"We've gotta train now." I say moving past Jason.

"What was his deal?" I hear Matt ask.

"Oh, he's had a crush on me forever." As I say this I hear Matt suck in a breath. That made me sound conceited, I think to myself.

"Uh." He says.

"There are three tabletops. Each varies in height and width and steepness. We'll start with the smallest then go to the biggest." I say.

"Sounds good to me." He says.

He nails the smallest one right away which I'm not surprised by. I make him do it again anyway just to make sure it wasn't beginners luck.

We head to the next biggest one he has more trouble wit this one with the turns. If he was able to make wide turn she would be nailing it easy, but since I'm making him turn sharper he isn't getting it.

"Okay come here." I say.

He comes to me.

I look around making sure no one else is looking and take his helmet off.

I turn him towards the turn, "look at that. When do you make the wide turn when do you do it?"

"Right when my front wheel has been on the ground for more than three seconds."

"Okay, when and where do you usually turn?"

"On the outside."

"Okay, when you get up there stay closer to the middle or inside that way no one can pass you and when your wheel has been on the ground for one second turn."
