For the rest of the day we went to Dave's and then hung out at the hotel.

We watched movies, ordered food, and had a dance party. My eye had gotten even worse. The swelling was down a little bit, but my eye got darker in color.

I've received special care from Matt. When my ice pack was just water he'd get me a new one from the ice machine. He also was actually the one who kept ordering all the food. I would lie if I said I wasn't having fun.

We laid on the bed just listening to music. Nothing was on the TV so we just decided to relax a little bit. Considering we did get a few complaints about how loud we were.

"So, what's your favorite color?" Matt asks me.

"Really?" I say looking at him.

"Yes, really. What's your favorite color?"

"Red. If you haven't noticed it's the color of my racing pants and shirt."

"What's yours?" I ask.

"Blue."

"What's your favorite animal?" Matt asks changing the question.

"Wolf?"

"Why a wolf?"

"They're very beautiful, but can attack you still and they have like the lone wolf which I guess I relate myself to."

"Mines a penguin."

"A penguin?" I laugh.

"Don't judge. I'll have you know that the penguin is one of the smartest mammals in the ocean."

"That's a dolphin."

"Really?" He asks.

"Yes."

"Dang it. Then mines a dolphin."

He keeps asking me questions until it's one o'clock in the morning.

"You should probably get going. One more day then we gotta race and then head to wherever else you need to race."

"We. Remember you're racing too." He responds.

"Oh yeah." I say.

"But yeah I should probably go." He gets up and starts heading to the door.

As I watch him walk to the door I finally decide on something.

"I'm going to regret this." I say out loud.

"Regret what?" Matt asks turning around.

I walk up to him and kiss him. He kisses me back instantly. We stand there kissing for the next few minutes before I break away.

"Did you regret that?" Matt asks.

"Not one bit." I respond.

He smiles and then walks out going to his room. I close the door and smile too still feeling his lips on my lips.

The next morning Matt and I went to the track. I put a wig and had some makeup applied so that I looked like a boy so I didn't have to wear my helmet all the time.
