I jumped back as soon as I saw. On the fridge was a picture of my parents with a knife stabbed in the middle. A note was under the knife as well. But mostly I screamed because I saw a trail of blood down the fridge to my feet. But there wasn't much. I ran to the sink and desperately tried to wash all of it off my feet. Before I started calm down (even though I was still super scared) a little, I forgot that the curtains to the kitchen were open still. I turned to close them when I stopped. From a distance, I could see two tiny, glittering objects that looked like eyes. Ok that is just creepy. I closed the curtains. I turned back to the "crime scene" and carefully stepped away from the blood to retrieve the note.

Well, I gotta admit, this was one of the funniest kidnaps ever. You should've seen it. Your dad was squirming this way and that way, and it reminded me of a headless chicken. So I knocked him out. But don't worry, they're safe, for now. Well, let me introduce myself, oh wait! I'm not! What I want: MONEY! And maybe some jewelry. And I want it by this Saturday. Today is Monday. So get going. Oh, and if you try any funny business with me, I'll kill your parents. And don't you even tell no one because I will kill them if you do. I hope to see you in person, oh yeah! That's not happening either.

It took me a full minute just to take it all in. Kidnapped! They were kidnapped! My eyes got watery and I quickly wiped my eyes. No, this is no time to cry. She wanted money. I was sure I couldn't find some around the house. As for the jewelry, my mom has a bunch of that in her drawer. I first went into my room and found $30.55 and a silver bracelet I got for my 12th birthday. In my parents room, I saw a three whole stacks of one hundred dollar bills! Wow! How much do they get paid? I took some gold bracelets and necklaces and a diamond ring. I felt guilty about this. Maybe I shouldn't do this. I looked at the house phone and picked it up. The good side of me said: Call for help. The bad side said: Are you dumb! Do you want your parents dead? I put it down.

I got a whole bunch of towels and cleaned up the blood. I wanted to gag. I'm cleaning my parent's blood. Oh I feel sick. Then I set the things I collected in my closet. It's Monday. Just a few more days and I can get my parents back. I made sure no one could see from outside. I sat on the couch and turned on the tv. I checked my watch. It's 12:45. I decided I wanted to sleep on the couch. Then, a sudden thought came up. How am I gonna pull this off? My parents aren't here. People will get suspicious. I began panicking. I couldn't let people know the situation I was in or else....

I just decided to stay in the house for most of the week. Then if I need to do something like buy groceries, I'd walk over there. I left the light on in the living room. Before I went to sleep, I said praying: "Please keep them alive. I know I'm doing a horrible thing, but it's to see my parents again. Please, please keep the safe." I laid my head down and went to sleep.

Next Day

I woke up to the sound of knocking on the door. That's not good. I checked the window and saw my aunt May. Crap! I opened the door. "Aunt May? What are you doing here so early."

"Early? It 12:35 Heather." Oh. Sleep got the best of me then. "I was just checking in on you. Can I come in?" I nodded.

"So..." I said sitting on the couch. "What do you need?"

"Oh, I just wanted to know if your parents came home yesterday."

My face froze. "Pa-parents? Oh! They came home late last night." I lied.

"Really? Where are they?" She asked. "They left to work again. They told me this time, they'd be here earlier."

"Are you sure?" She asked suspiciously.

"Yes! I heard their cars leave like a few hours ago." I said. She stood up, brushed her skirt straight, and said "Ok then. I have to go. I'm almost going to be late for work. Bye Heather!" She left. I blew a sigh of relief. Phew! Close one. Now I wait...

Saturday

It was 9:00 pm. The note said to be at this certain address at 9:30. It was a bit chilly so I took my sweater. The streets were empty except for a few cars leaving and coming. Some people gave me stares like they were saying, What is a person her age doing out here at this time alone? I ignored them. I walked into the entrance of an abandoned warehouse. It looked old. The front was rusted. I had to shove them open. They made a loud creak. So much for a quiet entrance. The warehouse was huge. It was empty and quiet. As I walked further to the middle, I cringed when I saw an old blood stain. There was more, but it was like little spots. There were only two huge puddles. I didn't look at them again. I walked to the very back and found a door. Yup. Like the one she told me about. I opened it and saw a meeting room. Except there was only a table and a small tv on the wall. I locked the door even though I knew no one was coming in. I saw the camera "A" told me about. I looked at it and showed the bag of money and jewelry I had. I made sure you could hear the ching ching from the money. For the fist seconds, nothing happened. Then, the tv made that static thing. Then, a dark room was seen. Except, you could she a shadow. I couldn't quite make out the characteristics, but then a distorted voice said, "Glad you could make it. Now, my money please?"
