"Are you ready for leave?" The stout man's armor clinked and clanked as he swung a brown sack, lumpy and heavy with provisions for travel, over his shoulder. "A three days walk, and the wild beasts between here and there can get mean"

"Ready? Yes... well technically." The young man behind the response knelt in front of a leather sack and began rummaging, "Your mentioning beasts doesn't sway me into desiring departure more though.. are you going to carry that sack the whole way general?"

Heh. The general released a breath of air in laugher. "No Aelsin, there are lesser men for that." he replied as he shifted his weight.

"Lesser is a strong word general..." Aelsin, pausing his rummaging, dropped his knee to the ground and sat on his feet. "Have you, by chance, seen my families pendant recently? I must have misplaced it."

The fully armored man glanced around the room and spotted the missing pendant on a chest of drawers. "It's right there, on that chest." He pointed to his find.

"Ahh, much thanks." Aelsin snatched the pendant from the chest and his cloak from the floor next to him then pinned the thin, pearl white cloth into place.

The general pounded his chest with a free hand in salute to the young Aelsin and lifted the heavy wool curtain to leave the tent. He paused in the doorway and looked over his shoulder "By the way Aelsin, did you ever speak to that girl from the pub last night? I noticed you staring her down."

The young man sighed and made eye contact with the towering warrior. "I haven't, you know that. Maybe I will upon our return.. If you're able to fight off the beasts between here and the Ampryn camp, that is.."

The two men bursted into simultaneous laughter, and with that the general exited the tent; the echo of his laughter fading with distance.

Aelsin gathered a few more things for his impending journey; a dusty tome and feather pen for records, and a newly sharpened shortsword for protection, then proceed through the cloth barrier of his tent.

Minutes later Aelsin arrived at the camps entrance, the predetermined rendezvous location for the expedition, and spotted the general as he approached. "Are we all here?" He asked the general.

"Yes." he responded as he surveyed the motley party. The armored general nodded in Aelsin's direction.

"Good, good... now I'll need the names and hierarchical status of the three of you," Aelsin pointed towards the three men fitted in blue and silver battle worn plate armor. "For my personal record's sake." The young Aelsin retracted his pointed finger, flinging dust as he searched for an empty page in his tome.

"My name is Rothin and I am a warrior of the Ampryn guard." The first responder saluted with a fist to the chest.

"Arugar," The middle aged man dumped his weight onto his masterfully carved staff and swiped a strand of his long, dirt blonde hair back into his hood. "blue aligned mage and arcane councilman."

The third man glanced at Arugar, then quickly snapped his attention back to Aelsin. "I am Garendil.. battle-mender and chief of the Ampryn battlefront response team." He bowed, elegantly, with a hand on his chest.

Aelsin nodded and quickly scribbled the information onto his tome's blank page. "Very well, I am Aelsin Jenin..." he spun his head toward the general, "and this is Durkaan, the warrior general in command during this trek."

Durkaan saluted in response to Aelsin's statement, situated his full-helm upon his head, and waved the group into departure.
