Chapter 6

I slipped on my plain black sweetheart neckline dress that reached up to my mid-thighs,"Mom, where are the wings and halo for this?"

My mom peaked though the crack of my white door with the accessories,"Here you go, they were in Nathan's room."

"Why?" I grabbed the large black angel wings and the black feathery headband halo.

"I don't know honey."

When she closed the door, I scanned the wings over to make sure Nathan didn't do anything to them. These were $50. Yeah I know it's a lot, but they're the best wings out of all the other ones in all of the costumes stores I visited!

No damage.

He probably just wanted to drive me to the brink of insanity looking for it because I slapped his hand off my pancakes. I put the straps around my shoulders. I plopped the headband on my head. I look like a real dark angel except I'm actually kind of evil and my halo is definitely crooked. I adjust the perfectly straight halo slanted, better. I put on my Jordans. All I need is my phone and Lily to pick me up.

Ding dong

"Bye mom, I'm leaving!" I shouted down the stairs.

There was no reply, oh well.

"Wow, dark angel, I like that." Lily complimented. She was a black cat with her "Ariana Grande" cat ears she made from Pinterest and her black clothing.

"Thanks, love your cheap cat outfit. Is Lauren in the car?"

Lily nodded.

I opened the backseat door and saw a blonde girl sitting in front, "Lauren? You died your hair blonde?"

Lauren turned around and nodded, "Yup, love your angel costume. Guess who I am?"

I stared at her all pink clothing, "Barbie? Seriously?"

She rolled her eyes at me and sighed loudly, "No, I'm freaking Elle Woods. I'm not even close to Barbie."

"Okay! Yeesh, someone's got their-"

"Just shut it!" Lauren yelled.
------
"Everyone, meet Josh, my boyfriend." Lauren wrapped her arm around the tall tan boy with wavy blackish hair. He was dressed as a steampunk man.

"Hey, guys."

We all smiled and greeted him.

"So how'd you guys meet?" Lily asked.

"Starbucks. We were actually close friends since two years ago. He goes to a different school and he never really got the chance to meet you guys, but he's here now."

I just nodded, then nudged Lily to help me connect the wires to the Jumbotron in the gym to my laptop I kept in my locker. She nodded to me.

We ran to my locker. I grabbed the black Apple laptop and then I crouched behind the bleachers in the gym where the party was being taken. Lily connected the giant orange power-cord she kept in her locker to the giant screen's cords. I scrolled through my videos: aha! I pressed play on my Happy Halloween video I made last night. Lily hid two GoPro cameras. One in the bleachers to get a video of the crowd and one looking at the Jumbotron:

My friends had horse masks on so no one knew it was them and I had a unicorn mask on. We recorded this in my room. I spoke first, "Hello fellow Pelicans. I would love to say Happy Halloween to you cooky birds. Also, my friends and I will sing special songs as you watch these honorable pictures of Principal Frank and other random blobfishes!"

Everyone watched the slide show of our principal raging and other hilarious videos from other pranks I did in this past couple of months. Everyone started laughing until Principal Frank came in the gym.

"Alex! I know you're in here!" He yelled. It was silent, even the music was off. I didn't make a move.

"Let's go gals!" I walked with Alec and Dylan into the party at the gym. We were all dressed as girls. I was a sexy nurse, Dylan was the Brittany Spears school girl from the music video Oops I Did It Again and Alec was Aria from Pretty Little Liars.

"Seriously? You look hilarious guys." Eva laughed at us. She's Alec's girlfriend only because she gives him the answers to all his math homework.

"Like your costume. Are you a minion?" I compliment.

She nodded.

Alec took her hand and guided her to the bleachers to make out. They're so weird.

"Dylan, what are you staring at? Ew, why the hell you're drooling." I stared down at Dylan who was legit drooling on his shirt.

I looked up at his direction: Alex with her cat friend going underneath the bleachers where Alec and Eva are kissing. I elbowed his arm, but he just kept still, drooling.

I'm leaving. Before I turned, the lights went out and the Jumbotron went on. There were three girls with horse masks on. The middle girl had a unicorn mask on her head. They were all singing The Best Song Ever (Give Me Your Hand) by The Ready Set and Here's to Never Growing Up by Avril Lavigne.

They are so mental, I thought. But somehow I actually laughed at the video until the principal stomped in with his devil horns on his head. They're so screwed.
