Dedication to. manddae, and Winston the Waxton whose powers are a mystery

"It's been a while, Maybe. It feels as though it was just yesterday when I captured you." I say confidently.
"It's been 3 years, fool. You made me hate my life. You made me waste 3 years, 36 months, 2160 hours. I'll make you waste the rest of your life. I shall destroy you. Now." Maybe sniggers.
I feel a very irritating tinge in my nose. I feel nauseous. I spit out... a cube. The Upgrader! Swiftly, I chant the magic spell of mine, "Tenth. Tenth. Sense." Instantaneously, a beam of yellow light shines from the cube, and it aims right at my heart.
I have my upgrades. But what are they? My mind answers my question. I have the ability to read minds. I can read them by looking at the person's eyes. In addition, I can stop time.
After I stopped time for the first time, I read Maybe's mind. She wants Waxton to kill me. I turn around and see Waxton at the side, holding a 🔫 stun gun.I send a message through the telecom to IOHP Headquarters.
"Big Boss to Corps Command. I am at Maybe's Lair. I need Back up. Let's send Maybe back to jail today. Track down my location."
I unfeeeze time. Waxton shoots. He misses me. He shoots again. He aims right at my leg. I barely take one step when my vision becomes blurry. Darkness invades my vision. The tunnel of sight soon becomes smaller. Before I collapse to the floor, Maybe orders Da Ren to carry me to the Blame Flame.
When I wake up, i see a hot pot of boiling water below me. I speculate that they are dropping me down there.
Outside, I hear a commotion. It must be the back up agents. I hear guns shooting and and IOHP codes. 3 agents barge into the room I am stuck in and immediately come over and help me down.
One of them says into the telecom, " Victim has been rescued. Target has not been found. Retreating from the location. Mission to re-capture Maybe has failed. We are heading to Corps Command now."
