I have the Tenth Sense. I have the ability. I am a secret agent of IOHP. I am 13 years old. I have a girl that I like. I am a student in Star Secondary.
"Class. We have a new student today. His name is Yoo Si Jin. " My teacher, Mr Kool announces.
I stare at Si Jin. I have a hunch about something but I'm not sure! I had this feeling before... but when?
Si Jin sits beside me. He greets me with his with his weird robotic voice. I smile back.
Soon, we start to chat with each other. How we should do our homework, what we play during our Recess, stuff like that. I realize that I got a wrong impression on Si Jin. He was a good and caring guy. He loves me. And I love him. We became best buddies.
Slowly , he walks me to my home although he never allows me to do so. I comforted him when he was first scolded by Mr Kool but I realized one thing - he had no emotions.
He showed no mercy, joy, pity. It was like he was... a robot... a cyborg... or something like that. He was becoming weirder everyday. Then, it came to me. What if he really was? But who creates robots ? Maybe. I remember I got rid of her in my latest mission. But how did she come back? I started to hate myself for not realizing this fact earlier. Si Jin couldn't be my best friend.
The next day, Si Jin walks up to me .I feel a tinge in my nose - Danger. I take a step back.
"Joong Ki! I just wanted to hand you this..." Si Jin mutters for the first time in a human voice. For the first time in forever...
He passes me an envelope with hesitation. Warning me to only open it at home and apologising to me, he runs back to class.
-At Home -
Just as I was about to open the envelope, my nose keeps on ringing - Continuous reminders of danger. I throw the envelope into the rubbish bin. I wonder what is inside the envelope? I stare into the rubbish bin. I spot something glittery. Ignoring the irritating tinge in my nose , I open the envelope. True enough, I spotted it. Maybe's Diamond.💎
I heard about it in my IOHP training. A random person who touches it will be paralysed and those with special abilities will be teleported to Maybe's lair. Si Jin... how could he betray me like this? Were you another droid by Maybe ? Or are you her henchman? But her droids only speak in robot voice and they never thank or apologize! Then who was that Si Jin earlier who did all those..? I must go and find out! I grab onto the diamond and in a flash, I am teleported to Maybe's lair. Upon reaching the lair, I swiftly hide myself in Maybe's Master Room.
"Ms Maybe! There is something going wrong with our droid, Si Jin! He is growing a muscle inside his body! I am currently investigating the cause." I hear one of her henchmen shouting across the room to Maybe. I spot Maybe through a hole in the bush I am hiding in. She nods, but immediately demands the man to bring Si Jin to her.
I hear a bunch of footsteps and a click to the door. I hear Maybe slapping Si Jin.
"How dare you! I told you to make him open the envelope immediately! " Maybe screams.
Realization comes to me - the muscle in Si Jin's robotic body was a heart. He was starting to become more human. He showed sympathy. He is getting beaten up. Because of me. I made him like That.
I snap back to reality when I hear Maybe, " May the Dollar Be With Me. Hypnotise Si Jin to kidnap Joong Ki now. Go to his house now. " Maybe must have upgraded! She got her new powers. She seemed unbeatable.
Si Jin goes back to his robotic voice," But Maybe. Joong Ki is here in this room now."
I stay dumbfounded.
