OUT FOR BLOOD - CHAPTER 6 - Vampire Slave

CHAPTER 6:

CATALINA'S POV:

"So Catalina, just let me find out the information and do the talking. Act like the other slaves, basically like you worship me and remember that vampires have excellent hearing, so we won't be able to discuss anything until after we leave," Jaden tells me before we leave the car.

Vampire hunters like myself usually stay far away from vampire clubs, since the odds are against us there. Generally, hunters go out in pairs or groups, because taking on a vampire one on one can be difficult. We roam the alleys of highly populated areas and human clubs, hoping to find a vampire in the act of biting a human. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether or not someone is a vampire, so we have to follow them discreetly to be sure.

As we walk to the club, I feel like I am about to have an anxiety attack. First off, I look like a total skank in my naughty school girl outfit. I've never dressed this slutty in my entire life. Second, I don't know what I'm going to do if I see a vampire kill a human. If I do anything, I'll just get myself and Jaden killed. Third, if I see Jonathan or Daniel, I may have an emotional breakdown. Of course after that breakdown, I'll want to find a weapon to kill them with.

When we get to the club's main doors, there is a large man standing there, a vampire of course. With some of them you can just tell by looking at them. He nods to Jaden and opens the door, totally ignoring my presence. Why would he acknowledge me? I'm just Jaden's snack. I wonder if I come back here another night and just stake him while he's standing out here and run, if anyone will be able to catch me.

As Jaden and I walk in, he has his hand on the back of my neck possessively. When we enter the main area of the club, my eyes go wide in shock. Jaden quickly squeezes the back of my neck to bring me back to myself and I regain my composure.

This is even worse than I imagined. The DJ is playing loud, pulsing music, the walls are painted in dark colors. The place is decorated in an elegant goth style with chandeliers, candelabras, candles, dark colored velvet furniture and all.

But, that is not what is so bad. Vampires are openly drinking off humans. We pass by a couple who is obviously having sex. Thank god the girl is keeping her skirt on. And they aren't the only ones in the middle of a sex act of some sort.

I am keeping my eyes out for Jonathan and Daniel. You never know, we may get lucky and find them the first night. I am also trying to memorize the faces of the vampires we are passing, just in case I ever find them alone. I look especially hard at a vamp that bites viciously into a girl's neck.

I can tell who the humans are and who the vampires are because of the way they are dressed. The human blood slaves are all dressed like prostitutes and strippers, even the male blood slaves. Some of the vamps are dressed like Jaden, but some are dressed like they are at a cocktail party. A cocktail party that the devil is throwing.

Jaden leads us to a to an empty couch and pulls me down on his lap sideways, with the bottom half of my legs bent on the side of his.. With his hand still possessively on the back of my neck, he leans my head against his shoulder and begins stroking my hair. He has his other hand high up on my bare thigh. This submissive role really sucks, but I have to remember to act like the other blood slaves. No way am losing my virginity in a public place, so I just start kissing Jaden's neck.

A waitress comes over and Jaden orders us both drinks. When our drinks come, I drink mine quickly. I need to loosen up because I just saw a human pass out from a female vampire taking too much blood and I want to go kick that vamp's ass. I have to remember that the stupid human probably won't even care when he wakes up.
