PETER'S POV

Luna Jewel was waiting for me when I got to the pack house. I passed Katie over to her assuring her that I was going to be fine, then I left.

Ryder had been quiet for most of the day, and he went radio silent after jade was found.

You alright there Ryder?

No.

What's up then?

Our mate's in the hospital, and we didn't protect her.

Jade's not our mate anymore, remember? We rejected her so she's no longer ours.

And you're an idiot to think that.

What do you mean?

You'll find out soon enough, we're almost there.

He disappeared on me again, leaving me to my own thoughts.

What did he mean? I rejected her didn't I? Yeah, he's just messing with me.

I walked up to the big concrete cube that had only a door and a window, it didn't look big enough to hold prisoners at all.

While I stood there staring at that building, Isaac walked up to me. And began staring up at the building too.

"Why are we staring at the tool shed?" He asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Oh.... Uh... I was just...... Thinking." I said not looking at him,

"Well are you finished thinking? Cause we're waiting for you." I could hear the smile in his voice, but refused to look at him.

"Yeah, I'm done let's just go."

He walked behind the building, and I followed him. We kept walking along the back of the building, until he took a right turn with me trailing behind. I didn't pay attention to him, I was to lost in my thoughts, that is until he stopped and I ran into him.

"We're here."

I looked up at him, then looked up at the building. It was the same building. I looked at the idiot that was beside me, tempted to hit him across the head. Instead I opened the door and walked in, it was a small room with an elevator on one side and a door on the other.

"Those are stairs in case of emergencies....... And if you have a fear of elevators."

We got in the elevator, and he kept talking. "We normally take prisoners down using the stairs, so they don't know that the elevator exists." I looked at him incredulously, who would miss seeing an elevator sticking out like a sore thumb in the corner of an empty room?!

"But of course, they are knocked out on their way here, but just to be safe we use the stairs in case they wake up. Don't want them finding an easy way out."

I had no idea why he was still talking to me, sure i was listening, but something just seemed off.

"And just so you know, I still don't like you. I'm doing this for Jade and the pack."

Well that makes sense.

We walked out of the elevator and into a hall that looked way too clean to be in a dungeon.

I followed Isaac until he stood in front of a tall steel door, he opened the door and began walking down a stairwell. There we came across a steel gat with a door behind it. He knocked three times then stood back.

The door moved back then slid to the side.

The scene was completely opposite to what I saw in the halls. The floors and walls are a mixture of black and brown, there was mold growing here and there, basically everywhere, the ground felt soft and grimy even under my shoes.

I could only imagine what was mixed in with it. The scent didn't help either, blood stench wasn't any where in the room, only the putrid smell of inflammation, vomit and sickness.

My gag reflexes, threatened to kick in. But i forced down the feeling, and kept walking behind Isaac.

Soon enough we came to a steel door at the back of the room. I think.

Isaac pulled it open and we entered.

The room was surprisingly clean, it only had one chair in the middle that was occupied by a man that looked a lot like alpha Connors. He was chained to the chair with his head down.

No one else was in the room.

The person groaned and slightly lifted his head, it was alpha Connors.

He began looking around, and when his eyes found mine they widened.

"Run." A weak whisper, the moment that one syllable left his lips an echo was heard and his head fell backwards.

"Well that was unfortunate, the Luna will be quiet sad."

I couldn't believe what had just happened.

I turned around and another shot was fired.

I stared at the person in disbelief,

"Why?"
