Chapter 6 Terrifying truths; yet anotherheartbreak

I walked to the headmaster's office as I knocked on the door first out of habit not like some people who just barged in without a word. A slight "Come in" was heard from inside the door and that was my cue to walk in.

I twisted the door knob and walked in seeing that Yuki was also present there.

"Hello Headmaster" I spoke and turned my head towards Yuki "and Yuki."

"So (Name)!did you choose what weapon do you want?" headmaster asked smiling

"oh...um...yes I did choose one but I'd like to make alterations in my choice" I said looking at the papers in hand

"What kind of alterations?" Yuki asked confused

"I would like to choose a sword" I looked at Yuki than at headmaster "but I already have one. My master gave it to me before I came here." I looked at the papers again and to the headmaster "The weapons which you use are anti-vampire right? My sword is already equipped with a double spell. So I would ask you if I have the permission to use that?"

Head master had a thinking face on as I waited for his answer on the case.

He set his glasses as he began to speak "I'll let you use your weapon (Name) but I wish you would be careful with it. Please read the rules and regulations for the night duty and you can start off with tomorrow"

I smiled as he finished "Thank you headmaster I'll try my best"

"Alright we have a new guardian here!" Yuki cheered "Less burden! After all Zero always slacks off all the time" she had a disappointed look on her face.

My heart raced fast at the name of Zero. Why does it happen to me!? Why do I still think about him? I couldn't answer those simple questions for my self and I hated that.

I shook my head from all the thoughts and looked at them "I'd be leaving then. Thank you very much for your time" I bowed and walked out.

The headmaster smiled "She is a wonderful person. Yuki my dear make sure she doesn't get herself into trouble because of Zero. I know that Zero hates vampires" now headmaster had a frown on his face

"Yes headmaster. I'll make sure about that" Yuki smiled as she looked at the door with her big brown orbs and her smile disappeared too.

I walked to the moon dorms, it was darkness surrounding me. It was cold because it was snowing. My breath became visible as I walked wrapping my hands around me hugging myself. "Why does it have to be so cold?" I questioned my self

I stopped as my eyes widened, I looked to my side and saw a body lying there "What the..." I walked slowly to it my conscious telling me to run away but I ignored it and proceeded "Excuse me..."

When the body was visible I saw that it was a boy in day class uniform. When my eyes trailed to his face my face lost its color.... Zero

I debated with myself if I should go and check if he is alright. Okay I decided to go. I crouched next to him and put my hand on his shoulder giving him a slight shake "Zero..." I started but he didn't wake up and I started to panic as I shook him harder this time "Zero wake up!" and that's when his eyes opened and he looked at me. Red lustful eyes, those of a vampire's. I gasped as I got back but Zero was fast as he pinned me down to the ground.

He was completely lost as he glared at me "Blood...give me..." he got closer as my eyes widened "give me...your blood..." I shivered as I tried to get free but it was no use Zero was stronger. He got closer and closer, I could feel his warm breath to my ear.

"No...no please stop it..." I struggled "Zero!" I shouted he flinched and got a little back. Maybe he was getting his sanity back. I pushed him away as I sat up "Zero you are becoming a vampire" I whispered and he looked at me with those red eyes but they were in pain now.

I crawled up to him making trail in the snow. I sat in front of him and looked him in the eyes "Zero..." I brought my hands up but he slightly got back "It's alright..." I whispered again and held his face in my hands "Come back Zero this is not you. Please come back"

Zero listened to what I said as his eyes started to get normal again. He blinked a few times and his eyes were back to lavender color and relief hit me.

"(Name)?" Zero spoke in a husky voice as he looked into my teary eyes "What did I do?" he asked

I took my hands back and rested them in my lap and looked down "Nothing...you didn't do anything" I gasped and put my hand on my chest. It was scary what Zero was becoming it was terrifying. I shivered at the thought.

"You know what I am right?" Zero asked in his usual cold tune and I nodded

"Tch! Just don't tell anyone" he got up as he brushed his clothes and I followed suit "But Zero! You're hurting" I pleaded as I looked at him

"I don't need sympathy from a vampire" he stared at me

"Shut up Zero I was a friend once" I glared at him.

"But now your just a vampire and I hate you and your kind" he retorted

"Hate me all you want but look at yourself your torturing yourself!" I shouted

"Why do you even care vampire?" he narrowed his eyes

I took a deep breath and balled my fists restraining from punching him "You know what I don't. Do whatever you want you self-serving freak!" and I stomped off.

Zero...he changed...was becoming a vampire that great of a shock. How could he do that? Act so cold? Is that what was only left of him now?

I went to my room as I sat on the chair and my eyes drifted to my side table. There was a letter placed there.

I wonder who it from is. I thought as I approached to get it.
