A swift, warm spring breeze flew through the air as quickly as first semester went.
The first semester of senior year was about trying. The determined kids who had a passion for education received scholarships and college acceptances. Meanwhile others preferred to party and 'turn up' as they called it.
Jungkook thought it was funny. School was separated into two groups and there was practically no in-betweens. He seemed unbothered, getting average grades, average colleges, and small scholarships here and there. Maybe if he had considered entering his art pieces in a competition, he could get a full ride to a university. But the word 'competition' wasn't one that Jungkook had good feelings towards.
What did bother him, however, was the object of his affection.
The orange haired talking box of fun.
Jungkook didn't want to care. He honestly didn't. He didn't have time to care. His priority was keeping his eyes on the surroundings, not one boy.
Yet he waited.
Jungkook's back rested against the stone pillar outside of the school building. He moved one of his slender hands up to his face to slightly wipe a drop of sweat off his forehead. He hate to admit it, but he was sensitive to such temperature changes. His milky skin was usually untouched from the sun due to his long hours spent painting indoors. It was only barely spring but Jungkook could tell it was going to be a long season.
His pointless thoughts of the weather ended as soon as he heard that familiar laugh. Jungkook, like a puppy, stuck his head up quickly and peeked from behind the pillar.
Park Jimin's smile stretched from both sides of his cheeks. He laughed so loudly it filled the air with some sort of happy cheery shit. He then took his hand, running in through his hair and slicking it back as he talked to the blonde girl beside him. Taeyog- yong- yolk- yeon. Something like that.
Jungkook didn't really care. She pissed him off for no absolute reason whatsoever. Maybe it's because she talked so freely with him, walking gracefully by his side as if she belonged there.
Jimin parted ways with her as he neared the pillar. Waving cutely with his small hands and deep eye smile. "Bye Taeyeon." He said in a friendly way, his hair still stuck back in a slick position and he flopped his head to one side like a child. He turned on his heels once she was out of sight, walking towards the pillar without too much thought. His shoes skidded against the sidewalk as he spotted, dark haired figure.
Jungkook had spun around just in time, making it not so obvious he was waiting. He held his breath, wondering what to do. Come on, Jungidiot. Think of something to say. He mentally scolded himself, chewing on his lip to release his frustrations. Okay okay. Maybe he will just walk by and not do anything like he always does. I mean- then I won't have to worry about it right-
Jungkook.
