Hi, I'm Alison Harper, or as my friends and family call me, Ali. I'm 24, live in a small apartment in west hollywood, I'm a waitress at Al's diner and my passion and lifelong love is acting. My best friends name is Jo, and she shares the apartment with me. My actingcareer hasn't gone off to a good start, that's why I'm a waitress, gotta pay the rent you know. It's just temporary until I get a job in the acting business. But that's what I wanna do, act. Nothing else has ever crossed my mind. If you asked my when I was five what I wanted to be when I grew up, I'd told you an actress. I went to Hollywood academy of performing arts and studied acting and theatre for 4 years. A few weeks ago, I went to an audition for a show called Awkward. This morning I got THE call.

"Ali speaking".

"Hello, am I speaking to Alison Harper?". A women asked me.

"Yes this is she". I responded.

"This is Juliette Copper from MTV. You were here two weeks ago, for your audition. I just wanted to call you myself to let you know the good news!". I remembered Juliette and could put a face to her voice.

"Yeah?! I got it?!".

"YOU GOT IT!". I was at work at the moment and were cleaning tables. I got so happy that I threw away my towel and it landed on my boss head.

"Omg! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so grateful that you choose me! This is gonna be so exciting!".

"We're all so happy that you feel that way. We were wondering if you could come in tomorrow at 10? We need you to sign a few things and want you to meet some people".

"Yes, ofcourse I can do that!".

"Great, then I'll see you tomorrow. It's gonna be fun having you on our crew".

"Thank you again, and I will NOT disappoint you!". Then she hung up.

"Alison, what are you doing? You're supposed to clean the tables with this, not throw it at me". Al said and smiled. He's an old man in his 60's and he has that nice smile that your grandpa has. He was one of the nicest people I'd ever met. I smiled back at him.

"Sorry, that was MTV. You remember that audition I went to a few weeks ago?". He nodded.

"Well I got the part!". I jumped up and down and my co-workers laughed.

"Finally! We're all so thrilled for you! But when you're big and famous, tell everyone to come to Al's Diner". I laughed.

"Ofcourse Al, everyone is gonna wanna eat here". We both laughed.

"Just don't forget about us". Brooke, one of the girls I worked with, said.

The next day:

It was THE day. THE day I was going to start an actingjob. I was so excited and could barely sit still for a few seconds. When pulling in to the set, I felt some butterflies in my belly. In a good way. This was finally happening! I couldn't help it, I smiled at everyone I was passing by. I was just so happy that this was real, and actually happening. I parked my car and got out of it. A couple of meters away I saw Juliette and she waved at me. I smiled and walked as fast as I could without looking like an idiot. Sure, I was EXCITED but maybe I should cool it down a bit. Juliette welcomed me with a hug.

"Welcome to the set Alison!".

"Thank you, this is amazing!".

"It sure is. We got you a trailer, it's that one. With the number 11 on it. You can hang out there, sleep between takes, take a shower, eat, whatever you want. Let's start with that I show you around". She smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back. She started walking into the set where all the cameras where and were most of the cast hung out. It was so cool seeing a real set in real life. It looked so cool.
