"So? How did it go?"

Tessa's best friend Zey screamed in the highest voice he could, and it was definitely hurting Tessa's ears. Zey was the craziest, most uncensored and the realest friend Tessa had, he was the most unique as well. Basically he was gay as they could get. When he came out of the closet to Tessa, she was the happiest out of all the most important people in his life, and for that Zey was grateful. Tessa opened her arms, and ears, which is more than the people that gave him life had done. Zey's twin brother even shunned him, that is before Tessa talked to him, he owed her everything for that.

"It went okay, I guess. Can't say that much for my ears though!"

Tessa walked out of the WGF building with a slouch, aching feet and an umbrella in the other hand. In England you always had to be prepared for the unpredictable weather, which was actually predictable. Every time there was the smallest glimpse of sun, rain or clouds drowned it out- usually rain. Tessa hated the rain but loved what came after it, she loved the hot coco, blankets and the smell of the rain hitting the pavement always gave her peace of mind.

"Well I'll talk to you later, are you coming into the shop today?"

'The Big Grande' was the best coffee shop in London, well except for Starbucks, Costa and every other big label in the world, which is beside the point because it's actually amazing. It's where all of the university students of UCL went to 'study and chill', I'm not kidding that's what they actually called their 'study sessions'.

"Yeah I'll be there soon, and I hope you're not wearing my shirt again."

Zey borrowed Tessa's clothes all the time, he'd stretch them out because of his six foot four length, Tessa was only five foot six, enough said.

"Oh, someone's grumpy."

Her roommate was trying to change the subject and that only meant one thing.

"You're wearing my shirt."

It was more of a statement, but Tessa turned her voice to make it sound like an accusation. You know the one that you always put on when you're not really mad at your best friend but you want them to know you are.

"Love you. Bye-"
Tessa stared at her phone in misbelief and placed it in her bag, she jumped in her taxi she called for before talking to Zey and sighed, she was definitely looking for more jobs tonight because that. Went. Atrociously.

As Tessa remembered the many events that occurred during the interview she twisted her face to match the cringe worthy actions she did.

"What makes you suitable for this job?"

Theo looked at Tessa like an alien after skimming through her CV and sighing. Tessa inwardly groaned and racked her brain to find the best answer she could, however what came out sounded like a teenager at interview for a summer job.

"I am very hard- working, I learn quick and I have people skills."

Again Mr. Matthews looked at her like she was wasting his time, Tessa realised then and there he probably was.

"I meant your qualifications."

Tessa then went on to explain her degrees in communications and computing and linked them to how a personal secretary would need these. In the end she realised she was just rambling about how university went, while Theo happily watched her talk enthusiastically remembering how he used to be like before he took over the business form his father. He admired her and continued to ask questions and she answered happily, until his secretary came in, without knocking calling or permission.

"Excuse me sir, your nest meeting is in two minutes."

Tessa watched as the secretary bowed his head like he didn't want to look into his boss's eyes, she watched as he wiped his hands on his suit trousers several times in a few seconds. She also observed how cold Mr. Matthews eyes were and completely understood why his secretary was acting so strange.

"Timmy what did I say about entering my office without calling, knocking or without my consent?"

Timmy looked like a little lamb seeing a knife close to its neck, like a chicken being grabbed, like a deer in headlights. I think you've got the picture.

"I...I....I'm s-sorry, I-I f-forgot."

Theo sighed look at the beautiful and obviously capable woman in front of him and had the worst but most convenient idea that day

"Timmy I will be assigning you to Mr. Parker instead of me, hopefully you'll get more experience with him first. I won't be reducing you're pay check don't worry."

Timmy nodded and exited out the solid wooden door. Tessa knew that she had lost her chances, when she heard Mr. Parkers name, isn't that the person she was to work for.

"Thank you for coming Ms. Mitchell, I'll call you if any new positions open up."

Tessa walked into the coffee shop with her uniform already on ready for work, she needed a proper job- and fast. In the meantime, she worked at 'The Big Grande' to pay her half of the rent and to basically live. Zey and Tessa lived just outside of London where the houses and flats were cheaper and bigger, it worked out for them because they were only 20 minutes away from London, just a car ride from the busy life.

"So you're saying he gave the job to his former secretary in front of you? 'Gurl that's cold!"

Tessa nodded, indeed it was.
