Theo observed her. How she worked with quick and accurate hands to make the popular design in her customer's coffee, how she worked without slacking and how she always had a smile on her face when doing her job. He wondered how anyone could do that.

Theo wasn't a person that ever had to do hard labour. He didn't start from the bottom he had everything handed to him when there was no one left to take over the company his parents built. However, he didn't always have the lavish life, at one point in his life he turned to gangs and violence just to piss his parents off and went deeper and deeper till the police were involved.

Theo thought about his deep, dark and twisted past and sunk deeper, it never left him, the regret of being such a stupid child still haunted him every day. The regret was eating him alive, the thought of being so cruel before his father's death made him physically sick. That was until he looked again at Tessa and thought about her hidden secrets. He knew everything about her with just one background check, but he still found himself drawn to her and her locks of vibrant red. He didn't know why, but every time he looked at her, his thoughts would just disintegrate and it pulled him closer. He knew how similar she was to him and how detrimental they could be together, but he was already hooked to her line. Tessa hadn't reeled him in yet and he thought about how to get rid of this curiosity before it was too late, before she started to pull the fishing line. It's not called stalking is it, you know, doing a background check, finding out where people work and casually bumping into them to get a black coffee even if there's plenty in your office?

"Stop looking at your phone. They will call!"

Tessa looked at her best friend with a sheepish look on her face, she had been busted yet she didn't care. She wanted that job more than anything, even if it came with those scrutinizing stares from Mr. Matthews himself.

"Could I have a coffee black?"

Theo looked at his phone, pretending he was busy, he could be doing work but he just needed a break, and instead he was playing colour switch on his phone. Tessa couldn't breathe, she couldn't think why in heavens name Mr. Matthews would be here when there was a Starbucks a floor under his office. Why here of all places? Was he following her? Little did Tessa know that that was exactly what he was doing.

"Yes. Right away. Anything else for you Mr. Matthews?"

Tessa's throat was dry and she didn't know what to do with her body, so she just went to pour his coffee while Theo shook his head indicating his answer.

"Here you go."

Tessa handed the green and brown environmentally friendly cup to him, as Theo took the coffee he looked into her eyes and he thought the whole world had stopped. Her vibrant green eyes locking into his brown and their hands still touching.

"You must be the famous Theo Matthews! What are you doing here, you have plenty of coffee shops in your building. You know you being here would be amazing for our rep, we should take a picture and put it in our website, that would get everyone talking."

Zey went to fetch his phone while Tessa and Theo didn't even notice he was talking. How they didn't notice must have been serious attraction because Zey was the loudest person in the history of loud people.

"Say cheese..."

It was only then that they both looked at Zey before the flash off Zey's phone blinded them both. They both snatched their hands away, both embarrassed afterwards. Theo spoke once more,

"I must get going. Oh, Tessa you got the Job."

Tessa was confused, Timmy had the job she applied for. Theo noticed her eyebrows creasing and her lips tightly closed in confusion and decided to clear the air.

"You'll be my personal assistant instead, be at my office at six AM, sharp."

Tessa nodded as Theo walked out the clear glass doors of the shop and walked away towards a black cab. She wondered why he was taking a cab when his drivers to drive him everywhere he needed to go, however she didn't get to ponder on her thoughts before she was dragged out by Zey's high pitch squealing, Tessa just joined him until they both noticed the looks they were getting and they both got back to work before a complaint was given.

The next morning Tessa walked up the steps of WGF bank at exactly 5:48 AM while pulling down the short pencil skirt Zey made her wear. It was a leathery material with a burgundy colour, however it was just half an inch under her knee and kept riding up. You may not think that was short at all, but you should have seen the way she was walking. The coffee she had in her hand for Mr. Matthews threatening to spill.

When Tessa got to the door she opened them with force but the doors wouldn't open, instead she stumbled back spilling Mr. Matthews coffee all over her skirt, luckily it was made of a slip of material. Tessa mentally thanked the gods and Zey for allowing her to not get wet. She looked inside the glass entrance and saw the receptionist she saw on her interview day laugh while coming to open the door, in fact she wasn't the only one laughing. Tessa blushed and hoped she could get another coffee inside.

While the red head scrambled up to the floor below her new boss' office she didn't notice the looks she was getting by all the different men and the whispers by the females in the building, however she did feel uneasy and out of place.

'What's she doing here with a skirt like that.'

'What a slut!'

Tessa just kept walking, quickly approaching the Starbucks where she could breathe because no one was in there. She looked up and asked the barista that had the name tag of Cole for a black coffee, with no sugar. Cole was the only one to make conversation with her other than Allison at the desk.

"Are you new here?"

Tessa nodded and asked him how he knew, he told her there was only one person that could wear a skirt like that and cause so much commotion. She laughed in response and asked him out for lunch so she wouldn't be alone.

"Yeah sure, just meet me here and we'll go pick up a friend of mine. I know a new take out place that my friend owns."

Tessa then noticed the time- 5:58 AM, and inwardly cursed grabbed the coffee and ran up the last flight of stairs. She didn't have time to wait on the lift. She chucked he bag and coat on the nearest available desk and opened the door, stumbling in Mr. Matthews office at exactly 6:00 AM.

"At least you weren't late, however could you please knock or use the phone to call me first, I have a strict rule about entering without permission."

Tessa nodded and handed the coffee in his hand to him.

"Here's a list of things to do today, and tomorrow morning until further notice could you get me herbal teas instead as I am on a cleanse for a charity function coming up."

Tessa fought the urge to release
her laughter, meanwhile producing a blue face. Have you ever heard of a big scary bachelor CEO, on a tea cleanse before? Instead she just replied and grabbed the list before he dismissed her. She looked down at the list which was more of a timetable with about twenty different jobs with the amount of time she had to do it by. She bulged her eyes while sitting at her new desk wondering how in god's name she was going to do this.
