3 years later

Fauna's POV

Alright...today's the day....! No more Camp meetings for me! I'm done with this stupid place! I quietly packed my pity bag of clothes and utensils as my dorm faded into darkness while the sun hide behind the trees and hills. Asuna had fallen asleep on her half on our bed, I was in the clear to escape..!

But...I suddenly felt a weak hand tug on my shirt as I picked up my bag. I slowly turned my body slightly around to see..Asuna..?.! Her bright eyes sleepily gazed towards mine. "F..Fauna...what are you doing with those..*yawn* bags...?" she slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes, her tail had curled around my arm while her little ears had folded back. I stared at her in fear..Asuna is very strong and powerful...what will she do when she I tell her...?.! "I.I..I...I just wanna g..go home...!" my eyes filled with cold, salty tears as I stared at her. I limbed my head so it fell along with my ears and tail. Her eyes softened as I fell to my knees crying. Its been years since I was taken her and told I was stuck here forever...I just want to go home! I don't want to be here anymore!! I kept crying..I tried to stop but I couldn't...

But..I felt her warm hands grip my shoulders gently as she pushed on my body so my head lifted. She stared at my tears and her eyes filled with guilt. She pulled me in tightly for a hug, her fingers ran gently through my short, brown hair. My eyes filled with more tears and I rested my head on her shoulder, pressing my frail body against her...She's so warm..! I just want to stay in this position forever so I can feel her presence every second of my life... I breathed in her sweet scent when I took in a deep breath, she pulled away a little to look me in the eyes. Her hands pressed against my cheeks lightly as she wiped away my tears. "I..I'll come with you...to help you go home..." she smiled warmly at me, forcing pink blush to fill and stain my pale cheeks. I just stared at her, Stop being so cute! I can't handle it..! "B..but I'm just following the path to the exit..why are you coming...?" She still smiled at me but it faded a little. "Because..if following the path was so easy, you wouldn't have been stuck here for 3 years..." My blush faded some. "Those kids who followed it last year, did you think they made it home? No..they didn't...they died in that forest....that's why I'm coming..to protect you..." her smile came back some as I just kept staring, a small smile appeared on my face and I hugged her again.

"T..thank you, Asuna...."
