Chapter 10

"Ooooooo! You have to try these on!" Ritika exclaimed, holding up a pair of ripped jean shorts and a graphic tee.

"Only if you try THIS one on," I said bringing out a plaid print shirt and black jean shorts.

"Yesssss! No problem there!"

"Why are you so hyper? Have you never gone on a date with your boyfriend before?" I said giggling.

"Really, Mal? Duh! I'm just excited to go on a double date with you and Niall," she said.

Ritika had decided to show me around New York and take me to her favorite stores. I had never been to New York, but Ritika knew her way around since the day she was born it seemed.

"Shall we?" I said, motioning towards the dressing rooms.

"Yes, we shall," she said flipping her hair back. I followed, walking confidently behind her as if we ruled the world.

After what seemed like hours, we each decided to buy the outfits we had pick for each other. We each decided to pair them with a pair of Nikes.

"I see you could not resist my fashion choices," Ritika said, grinning proudly.

"No, I could not, your fashion majesty," I said, "But you couldn't resist mine, as well."

Ritika rolled her eyes, "Well, we will see which one Louis and Niall think is better."

"Puh leeze! It's obviously gonna be mine. Not mine. Not the one you picked. I mean the one I picked. For you."

"Mmmhmmm keep dreaming sista"
she replied snapping her fingers.

After getting some Starbucks, we went to Ritika's apartment. Her place smelled like cinnamon. Or maybe that was my drink. Whatever it is, it smells good.

Ritika walked into the kitchen and sat on a stool by the island. I followed carrying my coffee and cake pop.
I sat down and looked around at her home. There not much color, but it felt very cozy. I noticed a picture of her and Louis hugging on a table.

"When was that picture?" I asked turning toward her. I then noticed that she had eaten my cake pop! What is it with people and stealing my food?! 
She grinned mischievously and swallowed the cake pop, while I rolled my eyes.

"It's from our anniversary last month," she answered. "And I'll get you something healthier to eat. I saved you from eating that fattening disgrace."

"Whatever, I wanted the disgrace. What do you have?" I replied.

"Ummm strawberries, apples, grapes, litchis, blu-"

"What's a litchi?" I asked.

"Um only the best fruit in the entire world! Have you never had it?!"

"Never. Let me try" I said, catching the fruit in mid air. I paused wondering how to eat it.

"Oh give it here stupid" Ritika said, preparing it for eating in less than a second, "Here"

I took a bite widening my eyes when I tasted the delicious flavor.

"Told you!" Ritika said, smiling in victory.

After eating a ton of litchis, we lay on her bed talking about our double date tomorrow. We stayed up all night talking about the most craziest and embarrassing things.

I had no idea how good of friends we would become.

Okay are you happy now I finally updated this after MONTHS. 😂
It just shows how much of a lazy person I am.
Jk well I am lazy but really I couldn't think of anything.
And I don't know when I will update it next. That's a mystery.X)
Also I know that Louis has a girlfriend and a kid. Duh! But not in this story. Sorry, Ritika is not prepared to take care of Freddie no matter how cute he is. xD
She is too busy with the chemistry of her and Louis.
