Do I take the couch? Do I sleep with Cas?

Take the goddamn couch, Dean. You don't know if Cas wants you. Chances are, he doesn't.

I know, but I - he needs me, and I - I -

I don't know. Someone needs to stay with Cas. He doesn't freaking know how to sleep.

What, do I teach him?

Or you could stay with him, wrap your arms around his litheness and keep it forever, trace little wings on his back and call him angel - your angel -

Whoa, hang on, let's not be hasty.

God, though, he's hot.

I don't know what to do.

I don't know what to do.

Sam's voice jolted Dean out of his head, into the world. "Look. Someone needs to help Cas. Since you and him share a more profound bond or whatever -"

"Shut up."

Dean stormed out of the kitchen. Sam flicked through channels on their TV, and settled for PBS. They were showing a production of Guys & Dolls, live from Broadway, and Sam hummed "Marry the Man Today" to himself.

Yeah, okay, he was a high school drama dork.

(Just a sort of mini ficlet thing as a halfway point between Chapters 3 & 4.)

Marry the man today

Rather than sigh in sorrow

Marry the man today

And change his ways tomorrow.
