Lachlan walked quite calmly now, as he knew that most of the guards in this area of the castle had been chasing him and were now in a totally different place from where he was. With a quick check around the corner, he slipped into the kitchen. Luck was with Lachlan - the kitchen was empty. He hurried over to the pots and pans cuboard, then started tapping some of the stone wall around it. Eventually an opening appeared from out of no where. Lachlan lit a torch hanging in a bracket nearby, then climbed inside. He hit another stone ( which was another secret button ) and the hidden door closed. Lachlan started running again, remembering that the reason he was actually even down here was to rescue the girls. He slowed down after a while, as these tunnels were stretched out under the castle meaning they were rather long. He stopped suddenly ,certain he had heard something. Footprints, it sounded like footprints he thought. Only the four of them knew about the tunnels, other than the Queen. Just as Lachlan began to put a name to the footprints, a figure sprinted around the corner and smashed straight into Lachlan! Lachlan cried out, falling to the ground. His torch fell out of his hand, and he heard a 'snap' before hitting the stone floor hard.
