**Cali's thoughts & POV**

I hear my alarm go off and open up my eyes, I grab my phone to see what time it was and it was 7am.

Great. Another day of hell, as I put it.

"California, get up!" My mom yells from downstairs.

I roll out of my bed and grab my clothes I laid out from the night before

I take a quick shower, put my clothes on and run downstairs I don't see my mom in sight so I'm guessing she already left for work.

I take my phone out of my pocket to see that it's 7:27am i have 5 mins to get to the bus stop I slip on my white vans and grab my book bag.

"So I saw that Jasmine and Bryce broke up... again" pepper tells me as we get into the lunch line.

"When are they going to stop cheating on eachother" I ask, pepper shrugs her shoulders and walks to our normal table.

"So how did last night go" Pepper ask our friend Mikey his grandmother is sick and he went to see her last night.

"Um yeah she kinda looks better" Mikey says and than puts a fry in his mouth.

"So what are our plans this Saturday" I ask everyone.

Every other Saturday we all hang out, it's kinda like a tradition for all of my friends since 6th grade.

"I say we watch Finding Dory" Mikey says in all seriousness. "Yasss we need to watch that I've been wanting too for like ever" pepper says.

"Okay finding dory it is" I say and continue eating my lunch.

For the rest of lunch we just talk about Mikey's grandmother and other stuff.

After I get off of my bus I walk to Simons house it's what I normally do after schools.

"Hey Simon I'm here" I yell as I walk into his house.

I don't knock anymore because I basically live at Simons house.

"In my room" he yells I run up the stairs and into his room.

"Hey you" Simon says in a really nice way, a little too nice.

"What do you want?" I ask while throwing my book bag onto the floor and laying on his messy bed.

"Nothing but I have to tell you something and you have to promise me you won't get mad" he says sitting in his chair where he broadcast'.

"Just tell me" I say, "okay well you I um- I kinda won't be here for your birthday this year" he says in almost a whisper.

We always spend each others birthdays together it's a tradition we have with one another.

I sit up and look at him to see if he was actually being serious, "are you serious" I ask him.

"Yeah well you see I have a tour that day- I'm really sorry I wish I could be here but I can't" he tells me.

I nod my head "it's fine I'm just turning 17 not that big of a deal" I tell him and fake a smile hoping he'll believe it.

"Are you sure?" He ask I nod "okay that's good, we'll spend your birthday as soon as I get back from tour" he says.

I'm not actually fine with it but I know if I said I wasn't he would probably get mad and tell me how "rude or selfish" I am.

"Yeah I'd like that" I say "so what are you doing tonight?" I ask

"What I normally do, broadcasting" he says getting onto his laptop.

"Wanna go live with me?" he ask, turning to look at me "nope I'm good I'll sit here until dinners ready" I say to him pulling my phone out of my pocket.

"Okay" he says and starts his broadcast.

Guys this is my longest chapter 😂🙊 but it's like 4:30 in the morning🌤😕
