The sounds of the romanian clock ticking rhythmically as a girl sits on the side of her bed. Her hands playing with the hem of her pink dress as she bit her bottom lip in nervousness, her mind was persuading at her to get up from her bed to find her father and plead to him that she would not stay at some random mansion which stands in a place where she isn't familiar with, she wanted her father to either let her stay with the baker a few doors down or even the kind lady next door.

But neithertheless, her heart tells her to sit down obediently and quietly till her father knocks onto her door.

She looks around her room, all her furniture stood place at their normal places. She turns her attention to the antique luggage that is currently in front of her, it is packed with her toiletries, books, stationary and other important belongings. Her father had sent her clothes over to the mansion the previous weekend and reassured her that the owners have provided her furniture.

She sighed before laying down on her bed for the last time, her adoptive father was called urgently to work overseas to do a years' worth of research and her father was so caught up about her well being that he rushed to various places in search for a proper home for her, not bordering to look at the places he knew well.

He stumbled upon a mansion and begged the owners to allow his daughter to stay with them, seeing that they were the same age and goes to the same school as her. The owners finally relented and agreed to take her in, not taking much more of his pleas, and accepted the girl into their household.

She closed her eyes, cherishing the warmth and comfort of her room till came a knock and the door creaked open. She sat back up and gave her weary father a reassuring smile. "I'm sorry my daughter, I know all of this moving is a sudden but trust me when I say that this is for the best," He sighs. "It's alright father, I owe so much for the 16 years you took care of me, I would have left sooner or later to have taken that burden off of your shoulders, now this is my chance," She smiled.

Her father went over to share a warm hug with his daughter before he knew that she would be leaving him soon. After they broke apart, the girl heard the honks of a cab and her father instructed her to get her luggage downstairs, the girl nodded obediently and brought her luggage down the steps to the front doors of the apartment.

Stepping out of her home, she watches as rain showers down and lightning strikes across the dark night skies. The man came out shortly with an umbrella for his daughter as the driver loaded her luggage into the trunk of the cab and got the engine started.

Just as she was about to step inside the cab, her father stopped her, "Listen my dear, I want you to be cautious around your new house mates as they are somewhat ... special and whatever you do, never dare or try to agitate them," He father warned before she nodded and stepped inside the cab.

Just as the cab was about to drive off, the man tapped on the window, the girl rolled the window down and her father handed her a pink cushion box. "And one last thing before you go, only open the box when you are sure that you are strong enough to face the truth of your past," Her father said.

The girl stared at him for a long time as the cab drove off. After her father was out of her sight, a hitched breath that she wasn't aware off was released as she return her attention back to the box. She sighs before remembering about the window and rolled it back up.
