{6} Conflict

Yuri's alarm went off and she groaned, So much for a comfortable night, she grumbled and quickly got showered and dressed before she head downstairs, as she passed Elin's door, she felt the urge to knock on her door but instead ignored it and went to the kitchen where the vampire brothers are eating breakfast when Anzai, Eiji, Naruki and Sakura came down in their school uniform, when Naruki saw Yuri, he hurried over and hugged her good morning while Eiji ruffled her hair a bit and greeted her. Sakura and Anzai gave slight greetings but Yuri felt happy to receive the morning greet and greeted them back. "Erm ... where is Hikaru and Elin?" Yuri asked, looking around.

"They should be coming down by now," Anzai mumbled and the happy atmosphere they gave out sunk, What happened? Hikaru soon came downstairs with a uncomfortable Elin. Yuri noticed that Hikaru had tied Elin's hair into another side ponytail but her face was not red with embarrassment but had a saddened face. I've never seen Elin like this before... Yuri thought.

Elin didn't accept breakfast and sat down at her usual seat, looking down on her skirt. Something must've happened last night, but there was no commotion... Yuri sighed and ate her breakfast when Eiji sneaked a pair of cat ear headband on Elin's head, she turned her head in surprise to receive a kiss on her forehead.

"Hey, brighten up will ya? This will be our first day of school, I wouldn't want my sweet Neko to frown," Eiji smiled, Elin looked away embarrassed while Hikaru managed a small smile and turned to Ritsuki. "Ritsuki, thank you for letting us stay for the night, Elin's condition has improved but please continue to take care of her," Hikaru smiled. Ritsuki nodded and ate his breakfast.

Elin excused herself and was about to get out of the dining room when Naruki caught up with her at the entrance and tugged at her jacket, causing her to halt. She turned around but his eyes shadowed. Naruki pulled her into a sudden hug and rested his head at area of her heart, "Elin, your heartbeat, it's breaking isn't it?" He asked softly but everyone in the room heard it, the stopped whatever they were doing and turned to look at him.

"When I was awake, I saw them, your tears, falling down your face as if you were replaying a bad memory," Naruki continued before her sobbed and cried into her chest. "Elin, don't chain yourself away," He mumbled. Elin was taken aback but she couldn't deny that what he said was false, If only it was that easy Naruki, Elin sighed and patted Naruki's head softly.

"Don't worry much, I'm not chaining myself to anywhere," Elin mumbled and averted her gaze somewhere else but Naruki only cried harder, Elin debated and bit her lower lip when Haru's words came back to her head, "I know you well Elin, but loosen up a bit, you wouldn't let down your guard even if you smile once right?" He said, Smile once huh? Elin sighed and pried Naruki away from her before offering a small smile, "Don't worry Naruki, see? I'm smiling am I not?" She said softly. Naruki smiled and went back to his normal innocent self. Yuri stared at Elin, thoughts that were in her mind were conflicting with her emotions, Is that ... a side of Elin's true nature?

Elin caught Yuri's gaze but gave a small smile and tugged Naruki away, "Come on Naruki, we should eat the delicious breakfast Yoku-Kun and Ritsu-Kun prepared right? It would be a waste if it's thrown into the dumpster," Elin gave a slight pout. Naruki gave a genuine innocent smile before the two head back to their seats and Naruki started eating breakfast, only stopping every few times to compliment on the food.

Elin smiled and ate while Hikaru raised a brow at Elin, she sighed, "Haru said that I should loosen up a bit and smile once in a while," Elin muttered and looked away, embarrassed. Eiji smiled before going over and enveloped Elin into a big hug, "Eh! Hikaru! Elin is cute isn't she? She's not only my sweet Neko, but also a tsundere!" Eiji gushed and poked Elin's cheeks, Kaoru couldn't help but laugh and agree at the sight before him, Yuri herself has started to poke Elin's cheeks. "B - baka! I - I'm not a tsundere!" Elin protested, "Well, your not the only tsundere, Anzai-Kun here is a tsundere too!" Eiji pointed out only to get chopped on the head by Anzai, "Don't spout nonsense you idiot, no wonder Kanou is always annoyed by you," Anzai growled but the pink in his cheeks were noticed.
