The movie was a slasher movie. I already saw too many movies that it didn't scare me. I can't say so about my friends, though. They held on to each other and screamed in the dark theater room whenever the maniac started attacking the poor victims on the screen. I rolled my eyes and ate my pop corn.

"Why-why does this movie have to be so scary?" Angel whimpered.

I sighed and replied to her,"Because it wouldn't be a horror movie."

"We're not letting you pick the movie again." she cried when someone was getting stabbed with a big butcher knife.

I didn't care. Even if we were watching a different movie I would've just tried to ignore it anyway. I didn't say anything back to her. I just wanted to watch the movie. Piece by buttery piece the pop corn vanished before the movie was over. I wished I wasn't bored; I eat when I'm bored and I mindlessly gobbled up my only theater snack. I wanted something else, so I decided to go to the snack bar.

I asked them if they was alright with me gone for a few minutes. "Hey, I'm going to get some candy or more pop corn. You want any?"

Madison shook her head. "No. I think we're good," eyes glued to the screen and hands holding tightly onto Angel's sleeve. I shrugged my shoulders and then left the room to go buy some soda and Skittles.

I walked into the now empty red carpeted room, and I suddenly felt strange being in here by myself, besides the man running the snack bar. Maybe it was the silence that made me feel uneasy. I shrugged it off and went to the bar.

"Hello. What would you like this evening?" the man asked with a smile.

"I'll have some Skittles and a Coke-A-Cola, please."

He nodded and turned around to get my drink. I dug into my pocket to find money. As she was doing so he asked her what movie she was watching. "Just one of those slasher movies."

"Oh. Not too scary, is it?"

"No. I like slasher movies, or any horror movies in general."

"Oh, okay."

The money was handed to him and I received my snacks in return. I still couldn't help but feeling like I was bring watched again. The only other thing that was with us was those life size cardboard cutouts of certain movie characters. I hurried back into the theater to return to watching the movie. Only this time I ate and drank slowly.

The movie was over and my friends all giggled and talked about how the movie was scary and making fun of each other for crapping their pants. I stayed quiet. I was actually thinking of what to do this weekend. Maybe I could go hang out with Hunter at his house. Yeah, that's what I'll do. I haven't hung out with him, besides at school, since he got here.

From the safety of the lit theater house we walked down the dimly lit streets to our houses. As we walked along I saw in the distance a figure under a tree beside a lamp pole. I couldn't figure out who it could've been. A creepy vibe coursed its way through me. This person was probably a creeper. Or a pervert. I hurried us along to get out of the dark.

Confused, Allison asked for all of the girls,"Why? I thought you weren't afraid of the dark."

"It's not the dark. I thought I saw someone watching us." I replied, looked over my shoulder to see if they was still there.

Angel laughed,"Maybe those movies are getting to your head."

"I'm not playing around. I'm serious."

Even if they didn't believe me they all got home as quick as they could. I slammed the door and ran to my room, shutting the door. I could feel my heart beating and I breathed to calm myself down. I paced to my window to see if that creep followed us home. I didn't see anything. But now it was going to bug me tonight. Thank god it wasn't a school night because then I could stay up all night if I wanted to.

It was midnight, and I was still on edge. I could tell for when my cell phone started ringing I jumped, startled from my nothingness of staring out into space. I looked at the caller ID and it was Hunter. I sighed in relief and answered,"Hello?"

"Hi, Willow. What are you doing this evening?"

"I got home from the movies a while ago. And now I'm just laying on my bed and... thinking."

"I can tell."

I knew I was being short with my sentences. I couldn't help but think about that... that stalker. He, she, it, whatever, was like a shadow in the back of my mind. I feared that it'd follow me, to haunt me, until I knew who it was.

Hunter must've noticed my silence because he asked,"Are you okay? You sound like you're not in the mood to talk. You're not going to shut me out?"

"No. No, no, it's just..." I had to think of something. "I just keep thinking about what to do after high school. I don't what to do actually because I haven't decided just yet." I lied. But now the subject of high school crossed my mind. "Hey, what're you doing in high school? Vampires don't need to go to school, do they?"

He just laughed. "No, we don't have to. I'm just going so I don't seem suspicious. I guess I already am suspicious enough with living in an abandoned house that seems to be haunted, which it isn't."

"Oh, okay. I guess that explains itself."

"Are you sure you're okay? You sound like you're thinking about something else." Hunter sounded worried about me.

"Yeah, I'm fine, really." I lied to him again. I didn't like lying but I didn't like anyone worry about me, either. I yawned and said to him,"I'm sorry. I'm just tired. It's not that I'm bored, which I'm not, it's-"

"It's fine. It's okay. I understand the human body and it's needs. I'll let you go get some sleep. Maybe we can go out next time for a night."

"Yeah. I'd like that."

"It's a date, then."

We said our goodbyes and hung up. I noticed that the light at Hunter's house turned off. I thought they were off when I left earlier this evening. I didn't want to think about anything. I wanted to just sleep and dream about nothing. I layed back down on my black covered 4 poster bed and stared into the darkness until my eyes drifted shut by themselves.
