It was beginning to get dark, the sky becoming a dark shade of blue and the stars hadn't even made their wondrous appearance yet. Poppy and Ronny sat on the grass for a bit, waiting for most of the families and friends to leave and have it be just them there. Most of the people were gone, except for the lingering few.

"Why do we have to swim?" asked Ronny, trying to make it sound casual and less full of nerves.

Poppy seemed to be admiring the plethora of flowers they had both sat by, but she heard him because she seemed to be always listening. "Honestly there's not much explaining for me to do, Ronny. It's not like we have to strip off all our clothes or anything. I'm just going to take my pants off. Plus, we won't get in trouble. My cousins use to swim here all the time at night, so we're fine."

Ronny felt sweaty. Maybe swimming would help. He glanced around and saw there was not many people anymore. Poppy noticed also and she stood up. They both stripped a few layers of clothing off so they'd have something to dry off with.

Ronny hurried in, not wanting her to look at him. His cheeks flared with embarrassment. He wasn't the most comfortable in his body, but he didn't want to admit that.

She walked in and got close to him. She dipped her head in halfway, letting her hair float around her like a cloud. "It doesn't feel too bad, does it?" She asked once she'd fully wetted her hair.

"No, it's nice," said Ronny, waving his hands in it.

After that, all their worries seem to fade away just as easily as the sun had that night. They splashed one another and laughed and let all their worries become nonexist in their minds.

But like all things good, sometimes they've got to come to an end.
