Tyler stood under a large oak tree and began to count.

We split up. Me, Ash, and Nick went one way while the others went in different directions. I was choking on air as I rested against a tree. I heard a scream, that immediately set me into action. I felt energy I don't remember having since middle school gymnastics course through my veins. "Shit!" I said, tripping over a branch.

I was pretty sure my leg was bleeding, but I still needed to find a place to hide. We each had a walkie talkie, using it for when someone was found. Nick and I were the only ones that haven't been found. I found a small ditch, I climbed in. "Ow!" a gruff voice spoke. I realized it was Nick. We heard approaching footsteps.

He beckoned me with him as we got out of the ditch. The footsteps got closer, then stopped. "Shit! I thought they were in the ditch!" Ash cried out, no doubt having a pissed look on her face. "That means we have to keep looking, idiot" Someone else said. I heard a slapping sound. Nick grabbed my hand as we continued to run.

"Can you climb a tree?" He asked, starting to scale it. I nodded and followed his steps up the tree. I got onto a branch when a loud rustle was heard. "No climbing trees!" Ash said, staring at the tree we were in. "They are probably just trying to fool us. Making sounds so they make us think they are up there. By the way, Ash, you are a bitch and my cheek still hurts." Tyler retorted, glaring at her. They flipped each other off and the rest of them disbanded to search for us.

When Nick said we could move, we both jumped off at the same time. We ran back towards the counting tree, until we heard a sound. "WE FOUND YOU!" Ash screamed as the other started to corner us. I looked at Nick as we shared the same thought: Push and run. That's exactly what I did, pushing between Ash and Tyler, running towards the bushes, he did the same and ran in the opposite direction.

I sighed, feeling someone wrap their arms around me, one over my mouth. "Shhhh" Ash soothed, turning me around to face her. Her eyes shined in the moonlight, her hair was all over the place, probably from running through bushes. I could picture my hair being the same. She pressed her lips against mine, wrapping her arms around me. I pulled away, seeing shadows, they got closer, Nick was one of them.
