"What do you want scum bag?" Dennie growled. On seeing Ryder, Caleb brightened up and rushed over to him. "Ryder! A demon came for us. His name's Marxihr. You know that one right? I mean from the book in your room it looked like you know who he is. You have so many demons in that book. Did you write it yourself? Are you a demon hun-!" Ryder shut him up by pressing a chassed kiss to his lips. Pulling away, Ryder chuckled at how red Caleb had gone with embarrassment. "What?" Ryder asked as Dennie and Robin stood there, jaws planted on the floor. "Now I suggest we move out of here before any other demons come after you three. Wait." Ryder looked back at Caleb, "Show me your neck." Recovering from the embarrassment, Caleb pulled down his coat collar. "Shit. Do you feel dizzy or anything like that?"
"No...Why?" Caleb asked, fear becoming clear in his voice.
"Marxihr only marks when he wants to deal. That mark is giving him a plot point of where you are so we need to get rid of it," Ryder said pulling the spell book out of his rucksack and the knife. "Woah! No exorcisms. You are not laying a finger on Caleb!" Dennie stood in front of Caleb, arms spread wide. "Stop being so pedantic. It's not an exorcism if there is no demon present; and if it was an exorcism I would need to wear a piece of holy cloth which I didn't pack. I'm getting rid of the hex if you must know. The one on the kids' neck." Ryder explained, flicking through the spell book, "Ah ha! Caleb stand right about here." Taking the knife, Ryder carved a circular pattern into the floor around Caleb. The patters was filled with demonic symbols, words that looked more like scribbles and lines that twisted and tangled together.
"Feidhmíonn an heicsidheachúlach an Demon aon chríche a ghabhann leis an buachaill. Fáil réidh le seo heicsidheachúlach agus ligean dó a bheith saor ón demon!" Ryder said, holding the book. As the blond spoke the ring he had carved glowed a whole spectrum of lights. "What are you doing to him?" Dennie yelled, charging at Ryder. Robin held her back, having difficulty in keeping her arms from hitting him. It went on for five minutes but those five minutes were the longest Robin had ever been through. He saw Caleb twist and jolt violently in the ring, his arms slowly following the movements of his body. Soon enough the colours faded and both Ryder and Caleb fell to the floor. The two witnesses rushed to Caleb picking him up and brushing off the dust. Slowly, Ryder sat up and brushed off the dust. He scoffed. So that's how they thank me. Save them from Satan's right hand man, one of the strongest demons, and they forget about me.
As Ryder was getting up a hand held his wrist. "Hey listen. Dennie doesn't trust you and I'm on the fence about you but Caleb seems to trust you. I don't know why he does considering you are part demon and the dude who attacked us was demon... Just come with us. You clearly know much more about the area than we do. So just-!" Ryder's hand clasped over Robin's mouth. The blond smiled a small friendly smile, "I'll come with you." Ryder looked over to Dennie, "If you'll have me ma'm." He saluted to her. As they started to walk Dennie stopped pinning Ryder to the wall, "How'd you find us, did you send that demon?" She growled, jumping to conclusions.
"Dennie get off of him! He saved Caleb. If he sent the demon, why would he remove the hex?" Robin said, trying to reason with her. "I don't know. He could have put a different hex on him." She glanced over her shoulder, "You trust him do you?!"
"No! Yes...God I don't know." Robin growled frustrated.
"Get your head on straight Robin. He is part demon. Probably the one how started this whole hell. Why is a part you trusting him?"
Robin's voice caught in his throat. He didn't know why a part of him trusted Ryder. Why did he trust him, that man was practically a demon. "I'm not waiting for an answer. Give me the rope." She ordered. Slowly, Robin gave her the rope. He didn't want to dis-obey her like last time. He was ties to a post for two days and left for a hoard to find him. Robin nearly died that day from blood loss because he kept pulling on the rope and cutting into his skin. The scientist ran his hands over the marks, shuddering.
Flipping Ryder to face the wall, Dennie tied his hands behind his back. Tying a noose in the excess rope, she put it around the blonds' neck. She tugged on the rope and Ryder chocked. As Ryder was coughing she leaned close to his ear, "Make any move to harm either of them and I'll tug until you are back home in hell." Ryder's eyes brimmed with tears as the tip of her tail tipped his chin upwards. "Got that?"
