Soon my eyes began to close. "Goodnight Soph" I whisper and began to slowly fall asleep. Not before I noted in my head to make sure she gets dressed for bed more carefully though. Because I can see Cinderella and rainbow unicorn thrown over the chair hiding and my little girl in only underwear.
"Okay Collin, promise me that you will keep an eye on her." I beg my younger brother. Me and Albert are going up to finish Sophia's bedroom. This is a big deal for Soph. She's never really been far away from me. Sophie is my little shadow. This must be terrifying for her.
"Dude, I feel like you don't trust me with my niece." Collin laughed nonchalantly. I open the fridge and pull out blueberries for Sophie's snack.
Putting them in a bowl I look at Collin to see him smiling "This is not a laughing matter Collin! I'm trusting you with her. You need to keep her safe." I scold. He never stopped his little giggles though.
"Okay Cade, I'll keep an eye on her. But seriously, lighten up. We are only going to be downstairs. You are upstairs. Its not like you're in a different country." He grabbed the bowl out of my hands and left the kitchen. I swear if he messes up...
Blueberries.
Freaking blueberries.
Who knew that if you put my brother and daughter together so Albert and I could finish her room would end in a mess of little blue fruits all over my living room. I came down to get Sophia and show her her room when I decided to sit on the stairs and watch for a little bit."I'm ready Collin!" Sophie's voice floated with confidence. I watched as somehow, someway, a little blueberry decided to get its wings. Soph was ready for the flying fruit until it hit her in the nose and bounce off onto my wood floor.
Collin smile and picked up the blueberry from the floor and ate it "Gross uncle Collin! Daddy says that we can't eat food off the floor." She tells him. I smirk at the memory of Sophie spilling Cheerios. She rushed to eat them before I noticed. Trust me though, I noticed those little wheat wheels rolling across the room.
"What your daddy doesn't know won't kill him." He whispered quietly to her. I rolled my eyes at my brother, stood up, and finished walking down the stairs.
"Don't teach my daughter the ways of the annoying younger brother." I comment while pulling Soph over the back of the couch and into my arms. She giggles and wraps her arm around my neck. "And pick up these blueberries" I tell him while I walk up the stairs.
"Don't you have maids for that?" He questions back at me.
I laugh and keep walking "Yeah I do! You!"
Sophia P.O.V."Keep your eyes closed babe" daddy has his hands over my eyes while he leads my to my new room. I hear a door knob turn and my bedroom door opens.
Daddy nudges me into my new room "Okay sweet pea. Open up!" He says excitedly. I quickly open my eyes to see pink walls. I have a big princess bed with tons of blankets!!! Daisy sits by my pillow along with a few more stuffed animals. Albert and daddy put together a little vanity for me. I ran around my room happily wanting to play and touch everything.
Daddy sat on my bed and watched me run around like a chicken with its head cut off. I giggled and walked back to daddy "Thank you daddy!" I smile up at him.
Daddy smiled and lifted my up onto my new bed "anything for you princess."
