My mind was a mess with only one word.

Go. Go. Go.

"Sophia?" I yelled out into the yard. No answer was yelled back. I could hear Collin and Albert yelling as well but there was never an answer back. My mother stayed inside saying that she is going to check through the house again. I walked down the gravel drive way with a flashlight in my hand.

"There is no way she could have opened that door." I muttered to myself and continued to walk down the drive way.

This is all my fault.

Albert caught up to me and began walking next to my side. I could feel the tears beginning. "If I would have just left her on that street corner she wouldn't be in this situation." I shook my head and griped the flashlight.

Al looked at me with his mouth open about to speak but I got there before him. "The list of people who are a threat to me and my family is endless. People want money, want fame, want fortune, someone always wants something from me and goddamn it now they went to far!" I was fuming.

"Cade this isn't your fault. If you would have left Soph on that street she would have been swallowed by death. You and I both know it." All my life Albert has always been able to talk sense into me but today it just wasn't going to work.

Sophia can't swim. If she were to go to the beach lord only knows. While my parents live in South Carolina, the nights still get cool. Nothing like New York, they probably have snow by now. It is mid November.

"If I would have just kept a better eye on her" I shake my head and look through the trees that line the drive. Nothing still.

This isn't worth it. All this money isnt worth it. If it means that my family is in danger all the time I might as well just give it all away. I didn't ask for this.

"Do you think it was her father?" I shook my head no, he has no clue that we are here. No possible way.

My phone buzzes in my pocket and I pull it out quickly. It was a number that I didn't know. Answering the call made my blood boil with anger. I can't believe she did this!

Sophia P.O.V.

Where am I? Why can't I move? I squeeze my eyes shut then open them to be faced with one of my fears. Darkness. Where is daddy? I try to move my hands but they were stuck together. I tried to talk but my mouth was closed and wouldn't open. All that came out was muffled sounds. Tears started to fall onto my cheeks, I didn't even have Daisy! What even happened last night? I was first with daddy, then I was under the sink, then my mind can't remember anything.

A blinding light cracked into the dark compartment I am in. A man with a scruffy beard and a baseball cap looked down at me. We stared at each other for a while. The man then leaned down, picked me up, and threw me over his shoulder. I screamed and wiggled as much as possible through my bindings. I could feel the duct tape pull at my skin on my wrist. I realized that we were not at daddy's parents house anymore, instead we were in some parking lot. I looked back to see a small black car.

They put me in the trunk! Oh I am so telling daddy on you!

Suddenly I am placed roughly in a car seat in the back of a different car. Scruffy pulled the seat belt around my body. Before he shut the door he glanced at me and gave me a look that I couldn't describe. Maybe regret? But he moved away and slammed the door shut.

My face was wet with my own tears. I looked in front of my to see a lady with brown hair in the drivers seat. She looked back at me and gave me a small smile "nice you meet you Ms. Sophia, my name is Julie."
