Dan's Perspective:
I had played it cool when Phil walked in. Inside, I was dying. I paced around my room and then put on some fresh clothing. I fell back on my bed and closed my eyes. That did not just happen. I told myself. That definitely did not happen. I opened my eyes. Phil had finished in the shower. We would be leaving for the party soon. It was then that I realized that I hadn't done my hair. I ran to the mirror and saw my wavy hair and almost screamed. I panicked and pulled out my straightener and started to go crazy. A short while later there was a knock on my door. I closed my eyes for a second, not yet ready to socialize with Phil.
"Dan, we should probably be leaving soon. You ready?" He asked. I looked into the mirror and saw my almost straightened hair.
"Yeah, just a minute." I said in reply. I listened to the sound of his footsteps as he left. I sighed and resumed straightening my hair. I made an effort to go extra slow, in order to waste as much time as possible.
Phil's Perspective:
Not long after, Dan walked out of his room. I was glad to see that he was clothed.
"Hey," Dan said casually, walking into the room. He looked still a tad embarrassed. "I'm ready to go now."
"Finally. Took you long enough." I said sarcastically, getting up from the couch and walking over to the door. I grabbed my coat and opened the door. Dan awkwardly ran a hand through his hair. For a second, it didn't look like Dan was going to move- so I grabbed his hand and led him out of the apartment. His hand melted into mine- but I let go of it to lock the door. He gave me a nervous smile and we left.
Dan's Perspective:
We arrived at the party late- because of me. Although, when we got there, people already seemed too drunk to care. We cringed at the song currently on- Blurred Lines. We walked around aimlessly throught the mass of people, until we found familiar faces. PJ and Chris greeted us entusiastically.
"Phil! Dan!" They screamed over the blaring music. I was about to say something back when they turned around, and then handed us some shots. I looked at how drunk they were and contemplated if I wanted that to be me. When I looked over to Phil, he was asking for another one. It surprised me, because generally, I am the party king. I chugged down the shot and then asked for another.
